Put a lightbulb in the microwave and watch what happens!!

Nah, it's a lot more boring: The microwaves induce an electric current in the foil, so it starts sparking.

I've actually done that. I put one in once, and it ended up punching a hole in the bulb. (That's what's great about living in an apt. complex. I can get microwaves cheap.)

Speaking of doing weird things with a [s]microwave[/s] lightbulb, here's what happens when you run 12kV through it:

Yeah, he's glued to the base, and the base has some electrical tape on the bottom to make sure it stays on the ethernet switch. (The silver box with the lights.)

I just keep the boxes. (I have like 10 gundam figure boxes in that closet on the right.) Things are much better to have if you can put them out to look at.

Here it is! The complete listing of nearly ever phobia known to man. Pick out a few good ones yall. This could be funny.

:D

For the "WTF" starters...
Albuminurophobia - Fear of kidney disease.

My phobia involves not being able to play guitar. It sounds funny, but I would probably die if I couldn't. So it involves -shudders just mentioning it or even thinking about it- losing fingers or a hand or arm or being paralysed or getting carpel tunnel syndrome...my wrist hurts and Im paranoid.

i'm scared like hell whenever I hear, smell, or see a dentist. I start shaking and I feel like running away, far away. :(
I'm also veeery scared of needles, auch, but not the kind of needles you use for a tattoo, cause they're really small, so you don't pay attention to it...

WolvenOne wrote:Okay, I went swimming today and was reminded of one of my minor phobias. You know how if you're swimming in a nice clear lake and you look out and see where it gets darker and deeper? Well the deep dark areas scare me, namely because I keep picturing a giant squid tentecle coming out of the water and strangling me.

I know I know, all my fears are completly unrealistic, that's why they're phobias.
Thats the exakt same thing what i am afraid of too...i never.....really never swim in open water....i am a good swimmer, but in lakes i am too afraid of any creatures that life in there...like catfish or something like that.....awww... :P

I'm terrified of heights. Not as in climbing a tree but as in huge buildings, etc. That and spiders, I don't know why but seeing a spider makes my skin crawl.
I won't go into lakes either, the Tennessee River runs through here and I won't even go Skiing, no way, you have no idea how big the fish are in that water....or whatever else lurks there.
