I just don't see those two goals being able to co-exist in one movie.
That's what the genre, Romance-Suspense-Thriller is for.....

I once read a horror-romance-suspence-thriller, concerning a love triangle between a rancher's lovely virgin daughter, the handsome drifter, and the family herd-dog.

Romance is not about sex or porn, well, not at it's core anyway. There are a few romances out there that're really just soft core porn novels.

Romance, is all about emotions, emotional attachments with other people, AKA, Love.

There's a HUGE difference between a story that focuses on love, and a story that focuses on sex. I mean, just look at one of the most famous romances of all time, Romeo and Juliet. The focus in that story is MOST DEFINITLY on the emotions everyone must deal with, not sex.

Here's a good pic to differentiate the genders in terms of body build:

BTW, as to avoiding anatomically correct arts, there have been a few major motion pictures (one quite famly oriented) related to Werewolves that did not do it and didn't do it pretty well.

Van Helsing
Harry and the Hendersons
Night Breed (the Berserkers were almost embarrassingly anatomically correct although they tended to "shoot around" the sensitive parts.)

I'd say they'd have human mating patterns (none). There should be a gender-specific differences, but no actual reproductive organs.

Unless werewolves reproduce sexually in human/wolf hybrid form, their hybrid forms don't need sexual attributes. Nature has the one-way metamorphosis of caterpillars into butterflies in which caterpillars have no reproductive organs because they are not used in that shape. If in this movie the werewolves reproduce either by "infecting" others, breeding as humans with humans, or with wolves as wolves, then the hybrid form has no use for reproductive organs or milk production for feeding young. With such a drastic change in shape from human to hybrid, I see no reason why sexual attributes couldn't be diminished in prominence to the point that they wouldn't be noticeable at all on screen.

If the werewolves in this movie DO need reproductive capabilities in hybrid form, then I would still prefer they weren't given a great deal of focus. For breasts on females, I would say they would be slightly less noticeable than in humans due to presence of the extra muscle. As to their number, it would depend on how many young are typically born to a female. Unless werewolves give birth to litters of pups, 6 breasts would be unnecessary. Personally, I'd really rather not see 3 sets of prominent breasts on the females.

For distinction between genders, I like the sketch put up by Goldenwolf (the serious one). I'm not sure that the difference in size needs to be so dramatic, but the differences in body shape are pretty much exactly what I vote for.

If you look at pictures of wolves, it's very hard to tell males from females, especially since they're usually pictured in their long winter coats. If the werewolves take on a fully wolf form, it's reasonable to suggest that you might never see any anatomical indication of their gender, aside from the size difference if they're standing right next to each other. If the wolf form is some intermediate between human and wolf, however, I'd expect some differences since humans are pretty dang sexually dimorphic. A lighter, more agile build for females and a heavier, more powerful frame for males, maybe. And as for reproductive parts, i don't think it's that big of a deal. Female's parts are easy enough to cover with fur, and though the sheath should be present for males, there's a lot of fur there too, and you'd avoid closeups. Also, a helpful anatomical fact, if you stick with wolf anatomy for this part, is that the male's testicles only descend for a week or two out of the year during the brief mating period, so there's a couple of bits you don't have to worry about offending anyone with

^^Several good points. besudes, a wolf's mammary glands (most animals, even) only show when they are in use or will be in use shortly.we yumans have a very unique biological system for that entire area.

If in pure wolf form, they would look just like reguler wolves(duh). Nobody is offended by naked furry animals. And if they were, I dont know why they would come to see Devoured in the first place

In Gestalt form (half wolf) they should have enough fur cover to be decent. Smaller breasts(only one set) on females; no nipplege showing. For the males, their would proabbly be a bulge their; seeing asexual werewolves would be really odd. They would most likely need longer fur down their if their bits were more human. It may be easier to hide wolf like bits. I dont care really which is used either way.

A human would most likely be wearing clothing most of the time

Yeha I know, I commited a major Forum sin by skimming and goign to the end of the post to drom in my 2 cents on this one. With A good design , in the males you could hint to form without going overboard or pushing teh Rateings envleope, ans as far as Breasts goes in teh females.....only Primates have 24/7 breasts. Canine femalse only have noticable breasts , tits, when they are nurseing a litter.

ShadowFang wrote:Well, I knew this topic would come up eventually. My feelings are overall on par with everyone else. The males should be built like a male and have extra fur down by his loins to cover the sheath. Also, in my drawings, I like to give my male werewolves a large fur mane around their neck that goes down their back like long flowing hair. Gives the werewolf sex appear and thus, becomes more likable. (remember the van helsing werewolf)

For females, they should have two breasts like human females do. However, the breasts will be covered in a thin layer of fur just enough not to see the nipples. Female werewolves also have other small teats below the two main ones. However, since they are covered in fur (depends on how much fur is on the belly), they are almost never seen.

I'll whip up some quick 5 minute sketches later on tonight if I have time to illustrate what I mean by this.
again with the 'how many cubs' thing, depending on how many cubs werewolves have on average would have an effect on breasts of a female an so on

Heh, Hadn't seen this topic. I guess I see what people have settled on but please heed this:

Dont go be a sexist. I'll personally come over to show you how tough we girls are. I can imagine being males do have testosterones and naturaly will be more muscled I don't want them overly better and much bigger. Meaning both werewolves should be equally capable, then after that it comes to the individuals health.

Now that I'm done, bring on the Pi! 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286208

If thats right, thats what I can currently remember. (Is very very bored.)
