I know I wouldn't have trouble with the saddle. Dressage saddles require you to sit on your seatbones, so the tail clears. There's even an option to lose the stirrups so a fur/were could ride dressage with no trouble ;)
Okay, slightly off-topic: if you could get your leg muscles and suspensory system (ligaments, tendons, joints, et al) surgically converted to digitigrade, would you do it?

Hell yeah I would in a second. While we're at it, throw some claws/pads on them too. I dont think they would make shoes for feet that big. Besides, shoes on digitigrade feet would just look silly.vrikasatma wrote:Okay, slightly off-topic: if you could get your leg muscles and suspensory system (ligaments, tendons, joints, et al) surgically converted to digitigrade, would you do it?

Pick up things with my toes? I can do that. Big toe, no less — I seem to get better leverage
You probably would need all the toes to have claws on them, just for the traction. And we do have pads on our feet, they don't develop because we wear shoes all the time. I'm a barefooter, if I don't need shoes I don't wear 'em. I also toe-walk most of the time; takes some practice and muscle-building. I've been doing it for 25 years now.

Sounds like most people here could use this site:
http://home.telepath.com/~wanderer/imag ... vices.html
Check it out the "Morphic Wolf!" It's pretty cool.
I would definately get a wolf tail that I can shift in and out of existance, but only if the possibility of being full werewolf wasn't there. As for digitigrade, probably not.

Whats not cool is the amount they're asking for.Lazywolf wrote:Sounds like most people here could use this site:

Only if i got the rest of the package. Digitgrade by its lonesome would be rather annoying. Not to mention look weird, vrikasatma wrote:

looks at thing why aren't there any pictures? I think it's just a hoax You can't change enough dna for that to actually happen, it would take hundreds of years to actually alter your intire physical structure. It's just not possible with the technology we have right now. Or is it I don't think it is so if anyone finds anything let me know please.

That site made my "bullshoi" light come on, too. Yeah, it's gotta be a prank. You can't do things like that unless you're a *very* experienced specialist physician and doctors tend to be rather circumspect about radical things like that anyway. They certainly wouldn't be posting prices and listing procedures on a webpage if they did it at all.
I know one guy who got his face tattooed with tiger stripes, then he went off the deep end and got his teeth and face altered to have a small muzzle and carnivorous teeth (fangs, carnassials, et alia). He claimed to have acquired an antique tiger skin rug and wanted to get the hair implanted and whiskers in his face, but apparently someone talked him out of it.
He did get (artificial) whiskers implanted and he claims they work: he can feel things with them.
Personally, though, getting a tail and/or digitigrade legs wouldn't be any more radical than sex change surgery, IMO.

whoa!! thats going to extremes!!
I know one thing, the 1st person to undergo surgery for digitigrade legs will have complications. Its possible the doctors can make a mistake or the body may not heal properly after the operation.
I wouldn't risk it if I had all the money in the world.

There's a picture of him somewhere on the 'Net. He's in Furry Fandom and I think he's in the Bay Area. I saw some video of him on one of those "Weird America" shows on Discovery Channel a few years ago. Yes, he had pretty sizeable fangs and he could talk around them, with a slight lishp.Figarou wrote:whoa!! thats going to extremes!!
I'll bet twenty dollars he comes to Further Confusion

Yeah, like that one's true. I'd imagine atleast having a professional website domain if that were so. Some nice pictures and posibly if this were true I'd imagine seeing some documentary on this, that much changing on a person's body is sure to get attention on the TV, and would defeintly be heard around for the fact they claim to have this patented.Lazywolf wrote:Sounds like most people here could use this site:

Cool, but something is telling me 'hoax'. Despite that, is still a fun website and fun idea.

Even if such a thing was actually even possible, I wouldn't want to do it that way.
