Well, now there are a few members that would do well helping out with mod duties.

By "inactive moderators" I'm referring to how they seem to fall off the face of the Earth for months at a time.

Someone that checks a few times a week is fair game for the position, so long as they help check for new user posts that need verification. It's a very helpful job. I deleted a handfull of spambot posts before they even hit the boards a couple of days ago, which is something any mod would also be able to catch.

I was considering something - those that don't get nominated, but who stay active might want to be kept in some sort of consideration. I just realized, if any of the projects associated with The Pack (or, that could apply - like one or three of mine) go big, The Pack might have a LOT of new members, and moderators might get split into teams (like they are on some of the bigger boards I've been on - the sort that have two to three million posts so far).

Just thinkin' a few steps ahead. Or dreamin'.

Well, in my opinion, times change. The people that have the extra minutes to devote to helping the Pack, may not have that extra time in the future (or the desire/capacity to do so). It may be best to just go through the whole nomination/volunteering process again if needed.

I would like to nominate Silverclaw, that is if Silverclaw doesn't mind being nominated.

Yeah, Kaebora, I noticed I'm not on the actual poll, despite being nominated.

I don't know if my previous post was taken as "I'm too busy to do this"... If it was, I didn't mean it that way.

What I was trying to say was to the effect of "yes, I'm busy, and I might not *post* here much in recent months, but I don't think I'll have much of a problem browsing through the forum on a regular basis to make sure there aren't any shenanigans going on, and do something when there ARE shenanigans going on."

I appreciate it Midnight, I opted out though.
We have several good people in the running, and I think I need to work on my temper a bit before I accept any responsibility. I know how much people get on my nerves and how tempting it would be to just delete someone's posts in retaliation.
Maybe next time.
