You know what? I'm not only getting ready for Burning Man, I'm making plans for Nothing-to-Prove to actually BATTLE CANCER in Thunderdome while I'm there. She started out getting her big shindig happening early in the week for the H O W L Workshop and the eclipse party, then nothing until Friday for her Temple Guardian shift.
She needs something to do, something big and exciting, sometime midweek. So I'm teaming up with Big Cock and PurpleKoosh and we're going to rip the pudding out of Cancer.
And boy, when I go back to DC for LiveSTRONG Day next month, am I going to have a fire in the belly!! Bush cut $30 million from cancer research AND he's vetoing the Stem Cell Research Bill — AGAIN!

So I'll be going back there with fists clenched and showing teeth, and not in a smile either!

I can't say it any better than this so won't waste everyone's time trying...

Ditto - and in response to the question 'what happens in 15 days, I begin my drive to Arizona, where I'll be playing music, signing albums and being very naughty on Cinco De Mayo. Most importantly though, I will no longer be a US Army Recruiter in 15 days.

Oh sweet. Wow. I was afraid you would be sent off to a foreign land.

Any chance you'll be anywhere close to Albuquerque? You're welcome to stay in my home for a day or two, if I'm not working. I'll have a two XBox LAN, and there's a sweet indoor airsoft arena near here.

*looks at a map*
I will indeed be passing through your town - unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to stop there for longer than a meal on this trip. I appreciate the offer of hospitality - if I'm hitting my last leg dead tired, I may need to stop by.
I should probably PM you right about.... now.

Hmm.. guess this be the place to post.
Just wanted to say I'll be off for a about a week. Going to Ohio to visit some family which live out in the middle of the woods near a small little town. Looking forward to it alot.

Been wanting to get out of crappy, warm, barren florida.

Sounds lovely

I remember my Confirmation and the party (which was held a month later for some reason; forgot why). I choose St. Theresa of the Roses as my name.

Yeah

When it came time to pick a name, I needed help. It was either my Mom's suggestion or my Grandmother's. I remember my Grandmother had her statue; that was probably where the idea came from.

That's a relief, honestly. Welcome back Baphnedia!!!

Thank you Lycanthrope! It's thrilling to just be a regular soldier again (and not an indentured salesperson). But, I'll be a resource for questions about the Army if someone feels like they're being shiested by a recruiter (please do it via PM though - as personal information could be implied or come out quite quickly in that sort of discussion that shouldn't be kept open for the public eye).

Good to hear you are free from the Recruiting business.
