Forum Modifications

Okay....There is going to be a few modifications done to this forum.
1st will be custom titles. Everyone will be able to place some text under thier name.
2nd will be gender. People will be able to know if you're a male or female. It'll be under your avatar.
3rd will be a quick reply A box will appear at the bottom for you to type in a quick message.
4th will be a modification for the moderators. We will be able to merge threads.
If there is any other type of modification you like this forum to have, please post and describe what it does.

Anyway, I saw a neat mod the other day that lets people see your sig when they view your profile.
There was also a mod I saw that allowed you to do a forum search just by topic title (right now you can search by title and message, or just message, but not just by title).
I think those would be good additions, but don't bother if it's going to be too much trouble.

I'm going to be very busy the next couple of days. I just found out a night driver has quit. That means long hours. Bleh!!

how about a profile picture, you know when someone looks at someone elses profile, theres an extra pic thats in there, and im not talknig about the avatar.

extra picture that only appears in

Sounds like it would just encorage people to spam the boards even more with short, meaningless messages like:
"Cool" -/end post
or "Me too" -/end post
Do we really need to make that even

Actually you can use smilies, you just have to know the what the code is.

It doesn't make it that much eaiser. If someone is going to post a meaningless message, nothing short of enforcing a minimum post length is going to stop them.

I think the other ideas are great, especially the gender idea, no more mistakes! Now what should my custom title be...
While I don't like quick replys, maybe it's just me. Yet I always love the quality of posts, no 'yeah' 'cool' or 'me too', I can't deny that I've done that but those are quick replies, and your creating a box just for that.

Slap on a spelling and grammar checker and corrector! My dreams come true! I have to say I would really love the spelling checker, I don't have very good spelling myself.

For those who doesn't like the quick reply (Actualy, it'll be a "super quick reply") You can turn that off in your profile. Or by clicking on the quick reply button.
Also, you'll be able to put in your date of birth. People can see it when they look at your profile. It'll also show up at the bottom of the main page if today was your birthday.
These items, plus a forum upgrade from 2.13 to 2.17 will be done on Monday, August 1st, 2005.
