I'm kinda new :( so I really don't know if this was covered, but can werewolves cry? Do they have tear ducts? Would they cry while shifting?

Yes they can. In the original 'The Howling' movie, at the end, Karen cries as she is shifting and is still crying after fully transforming.

I think the question is whether or not the consensus werewolf we're putting together should be able to. I see no reason why not, as both wolves and humans have tear ducts.

Obscure Trekkie factoid: Klingons don't cry, not just because of their aggressive culture, but also because they do not have tear ducts. (From the expanded version of Star Trek VI)

They both have tear ducts -- yes -- but canine 'tears' are very oily. Personally, I would lean more toward canine anatomy than human in this matter, as I would with the rest of the head.

... Then why (and how) do they blink? Why are their eyes shiny and moist? Why aren't their eyes always red, dry, and irritated?

No wonder they're always so grouchy. Get these guys some Visine!

Same reason that Mr. Tuvok in Voyager could work up a sweat, even though Vulcans don't have sweat glands. You'll notice in classic Trek that Spock never did. Of course, being cold all the time helps, too; Vulcan's median temperature is about 120 F, or almost 50 C.
