He could tell that she was cold,so he moved closer to her and put his arms around her to help keep her warm. She had helped him with his wound and for that he was greatful. "Thank you." he whispered in her ear, trying not to wake her,before falling back to sleep.

as thhey nuzzled and kissed, xykara could feel a happiness in her heart that had long ago died withh her parents. it was alive again. she had a mate now. and one withh a very interesting pelt that she'd give her life to protect.

xykara saw the sun had risen at their side and looked into leons eyes. she said, "i guess we'd better go back and ask them if they wish to make a pack."

He continued to sleep,with his arms around the female,keeping her warm as best he could. He was trying not to accidentally touch one of her wounds,the last thing he wanted to do was cause her more pain. He awoke and noticed that the female still seemed to be cold,so he gently pulled her against him to help keep her warm.

I woke up softly, warm fur against mine. I turned and saw the the male. "Hi." I whispered, the snuggle back into him.

I sighed, just enjoying this moment together with her as much as I could. But knowing that we had to back, I unwillinglylet go of my chosen mate and took a few steps foreward. Turning slightly, I cracked a smike and said"Race ya'!" before sprinting away on all fours.

xykara grinned and quickly caught up to him. she may be small but she wass fairly fast for her size. it wasnt long before they reached leons den with xykara barely in the lead. she poke her head inside the den and saw them both cuddled up and sleeping.

xykara fully entered the den and curled up next to where thhe torchh on the wall was and laid her head down. she waited for her new mate to come in before falling asleep

I culered up next to my golden mate, thinking just how fast things were going. Just yesterday I was a lone wolf with no problems but to find my next meal. Now I had a gorgous mate whom I would die for and possibly the begining of a real pack. Pushing aside all worries of tomorrow I strocked the fur down Xykara's back. Getting into a spooning position, I placed a protective arm around her, gave the top of her head a small lick, and fell asleep thinking how lucky I was.

He heard the female whisper softly in his ear. "Hello." he whispered back to her,he had noticed that Leon and Xykara had returned and had now fallen asleep beneath the torch keeping the den lighted. He smiled as he saw Leon put is arm around her,run a paw down the fur of her back and then give the top of her head a small lick. Louis turned his head and smiled at them before going back to sleep.

xykara felt her mate stroke her back and lick her head. she smiled andd felt the fierce happiness sweep through her again. it wasnt long before she was asleep in his arm.

the day passed away without event and night was soon falling over them again. xykara awoke to hunger. hopefully the cougars hadnt stolen leons kill. they were notorious for stealing werewolf kills.

xykara eased herself out of her mates arms, trying not to wake him but doing so by accident. she nuzzled him and licked his head saying, "im going too see if that elk is still there. night has fallen again."

with that said xykara left the den and headed over too the elk. she could smell cougar on the meat but there was still a fair amount left. forgeting to check her surroundings she dug into the kill now full of maggots. while she wass eating a fully grown unicorn snuck up on her and charged.

hearing the pounding hooves she barely escaped getting impaled. the horn caught her on the shoulder and burned her flesh. howling in pain she took a swipe at its face, taking out one of its eyes. but the unicorn was bigger than her and had an unfair advantage, silver. it lowered its horn and charged again. xykara ran intoo the exrogues hideout and stayed in there. but the unicorn wassnt going anywhere until she was dead. fearing for her life she howled for help

Hearing my mate's howl of pain brought the worst images of her fate into my head. These pictures only feuled my rage as I dashed out the den (being careful to dodge the roots this time) and ran towards the sound. On the way, I could pick out a familiar sickly-sweet stench with a hint of dreaded silver,unicorns! Quickening my pace, I soon tracked the scent to the once-rogue werewolf's lair. The howls were coming from inside and the entrace was being attacked by a large unicorn, even bigger than the one I killed yesterday! Screaming "I,LL ADD YOUR HORN TO MY COLLECTION!!" I rushed the beast. My outburst gave the unicorn just the moment of distraction I needed. I jumped on its back and while raking my claws across its flack, tried get my jaws in a good position around its throat.

xykara practically cowered in the small den while the unicorn blocked the only exit. it wassnt long before she heard her mate's roar of anger. he haadcome to her rescue. whatever he then did too thee beast caused it to turn its back on the entrance. big mistake for the unicorn, for xykara raced outside and leaped onto its back. she dug her sharp claws intoo its neck, hitting its jugular. silvery boold squirted everywhere. soon it tripped on a hole in the ground and fell.

xykara couldnt get up or she would've ripped its troat out herself. she was now pinned under the unicorn. "now leon, rip its throat out!" she yelled

Hearing her words and taking careful aim, my jaws caught the unicorn right at its throat. Before it could even register me, I gave a great lurch up taking the front of its neck with me. After a minute of thrashing, the beast was finally still in its own blood. Withits great size, it took me a few minutes to move it just enough for my mate to crawl out. I held her tight to me, but loosened up when she winced from the pain. Looking here over, she mostly seemed to have developed many bruises under her fur. When I noticed the burned cut on her shoulder, I gently licked it, coating the wound with my healing saliva. The faint taste of silver made me want to gag. Still holding her, I wispered softly, "Remind me to never let you off on your own again."

xykara heard a wet ripping sound as the unicorn was killed. good one less unicorn to drive off the deer and elk. murderous little sh*ts.

xykara felt the unicorn being push up and crawled out from under it. it felt good to breath without dificulty. once she was free she nuzzled her mate and felt him lick her wound. stupid silver burn. it hurt. but werewolf saliva had healing powers to it and the wound soon quit hurting.

xykara nodded her thanks to heer mate annd said, "lets eat now. im pretty hungry. cougars got to ur kill but thheres still plenty of meat left. and thanks for saving me from thhe unicorn. i hate them things. ever since they came most of our prey has dissapeared and mnore and more werewolves are being killed."

with that said xykara headed back to the kill. this time she looked around for danger annd sniffed the wind. no danger. good. now she could eat. so she did

I watched my mate finish of my kill yesterday for a moment. With the elk gone, I'd have to do more hunting, possible alone since everybody else was injured. Once Xykara was done, I escorted her back to the den while carefully watching the woods. No unicorn was EVER going to hurt her again! When we returned to the tree, I gently kissed my mate on the top of her head and said "I'm going to scout the surronding area for more prey. Please stay here and watch over the others until I return." And with that, I ran out back into the forest.

xykara was escorted back to the den by her mate after she was full. he asked her too stay in the denn untill he got baack. nodding and not wanting annymore excitement like that for the night she curled up next too thhe other and waited for thhem to awaken

Searching through the forest, my nose picked up on another sickly odor. Human blood, and judging on the strength of it, a whole lot of it. I followed the scent to the human village, and found a massacre! Bodies were piled everywhere, blood completely staining the ground red. Using my nose I was able to deduce who the murderer was. I made my way to the den to confront Louis. If any other humans found that village, there would be hell to pay.

Louis awoke and walked out side of the den and looked up at the moonlit sky. He sat next to a tree and thought about the female werewolf still sleeping inside the den,there was something about her he liked,but he could not put his finger on just what it was.

i woke to a breeze, and the male gone. I stood at the entrance of the cave and spotted him, then sat with him. "Hi."

"Hello." he said, with a smile. "My name is Louis,what is yours?" he asked looking her up and down. she was beautiful in his eyes and he had fallen for her.

"My name is Raven. I know this wouldnt be the best time to bring it up, but... what set you off into that rage?" I asked cautiously, I didnt want to set him off.

"I lost everything,my family,my friends...they were all killed in front of me. The humans surrounded them all,there were so many of them,my pack didn't stand a chance against them and all i could do was watch it happen." he said,looking up through the trees at the moonlit sky.

Arriving at the den, I found Louis and Raven talking at the entrance. Though it would easier to just rip out his throat right there and then, but I contained my anger and called out, "Luois, will you come over here? We need to talk!"

He heard Leon call to him,so he stood up an walked over to him. "Yes Leon,what is it you need to talk to me about?" he asked, showing little curiosity. Leon seemed to be angry about something.

I looked in Leons direction when he called Louis, i was tense, ready to defend Louis if Leon got offensive.

xykara saw her mate return angry. she quickly ran up to him and asked, Leon, what happened?"
