Just a friendly word of warning, Wolveblade: there are several people around here who don't take kindly to such claims. So be careful about that kind of thing -- they'll want proof.

By the way, you have the same birthday as my sister (you're exactly one year older than her).

I have an acquaintance that is allergic to water. Just thought I'd add that.

And Vilk is right, Wolveblade. No pretending. If you wanna roleplay, we've got a thread for that.

Actually some people do have hypersensitivity to certain metals, usually nickel.

Also silver is suppose to help cleanse wounds and injuries. Dunno if that this technique actually works, but my Mother when I was little, would put a hard boiled egg into a thin cloth with silver wedged into the egg. And would rub any bruises or injuries with it.

For some reason when you pull the silver out, it becomes dark and tarnished.
Huh :?

Silver tarnishes in the presence of sulfur. There is sulfur in eggs (in fact, the smell of rotting eggs is usually hydrogen sulfide.) So it was probably the sulfur in the eggs tarnishing the piece of silver.

I doubt that means their skin bursts into flames when they touch it though.

I know someone who is allergic to wheat.... but water!?! You need it to survive and it's in most drinks to some degree or another.

It's not that if they drink water, they die, they break out into a bad rash when they get wet.
My high school ceramics teacher told me about how one of his students (out of the 3 decades of teaching ceramics) turned out to be allergic to clay, in that, everytime she touched the stuff, she broke out into a rash.

Funny you mentioned that...
The scientist who found out the LD50 number of water had to keep starting over, as his rats tended to drown before they could be poisoned.

Water leaves a rash on his skin. But, he can still drink it. Yeah, I know that's really weird.
