New CD Store on Paradice Net...

Post by Baphnedia »

*advertises shamelessly*

It's so new, that in fact, I'm not even done coding it yet. I've got the backend essentially done, and am just adding inventory. Eventually, I'll get something a little more visual than just text links, but I want to make sure the whole thing works.

I'm starting with Metal, specifically, 70's metal. Why? I like it.

I'll be adding more genres as I get to them, and I'll post in the Classifieds section each time I complete (or start) a new section of the store. My goal is to have 5,000 listings by the end of next year.

Here's a quick update...

I've got 59 listings under 70's metal.
I received 252 listings for 80's metal today. Chances are I won't have them all up tonight... but, it'll take me a few hours to do one way or another.

Coolness. There are some tribute CDs listed (among others) in the pile of 251 indie CDs I listed this morn for 80's Metal. Anyway, lots of good stuff there. Also, I unscrewed some parts of the CD Market (as it is now called), and got the pages to work right... all 32 or so of them. Later on, I'm going to do a link page by genre or something before I go into the next part of Metal.

A few updates: A Genres page has finished, and I'm also done with 80's metal. Anyhow... here's a listing of the genres I'll eventually be listing...

All payment and distribution is handled through CD Baby. This is a quick referrence list, in that there aren't any pretty pictures or other things like that to keep your attention. Simple, neat, and easy to find stuff. This market is similar in concept to the CD Market except here, genres are listed. At the CD Market itself, individual album listings are available under genre categories. That, and the content for this area is done, whereas finishing up the CD Market will take months.
