Blame the video games for that. :pacwolf:
Heh. It's been a fair while since I've played too, but nowhere near that long!

My father got me into the game when I was 8 years old. I played every now and then until the Atari 2600 came into my life at 13. Thats when I stopped playing chess. I'm 38 now. Soooooooo..38-13= 25 years.

But I still wanted a werewolf chess set after all those years. :D

That's not a valid move. Did you by chance mean c7-c6? Or b7-b6, perhaps?

Heh. I haven't even been alive that long.

My father taught me how to play as well. I don't remember how young I was, though. I do remember that it was a very long time before I was able to play him without a handicap.

Once it got to the point where I could beat him on occasion, he did a terrible thing to me: if he was losing and couldn't see any way to win, he'd knock over all the pieces and capitulate. Since he was the only person I ever played, I rarely got to play a winning end-game. I think you can understand why, after a long time of doing this, I developed a very weak end-game. Heh.

He took as much advantage of that as he could.

What a thing to do to a kid.

Anyway, I eventually turned to the Internet to find games, and later found people at school who would play. That helped.

I played some of the kids at school. I remember winning the game in only 5 moves!! After that, nobody wanted to play me. :(

I've done similar ^_^

There was someone I always played every day at lunch. We tended to attract a small crowd on occasion. One time someone in that crowd wanted to play, so we did. I obliterated him with the four-move checkmate.

I didn't get any challenges after that; although, I did get a reputation for being a really good chess player (perhaps more of one than I deserved).

Oh wait...I meant four moves. Not five. I miscounted.

Here is the moves. It only works if they don't catch it and they don't block the path with any other pieces.

1st move e2-e3
2nd move f1-c4
3rd move d1-f3
4th move f3-f7 checkmate if the king can't move or no other piece can take the queen.

Yup, yup. That's the one; although, I tend to move e2-e4 first instead.

I do not wish to be mean, but, if you move there, my Bishop shall do most terrible things to your Queen.

(Psst. If you want, I'll let you take that move back. This time...)
