The only problem with being black is that you have to look at it from a different view compared to the real chess board game. It can get confusing at 1st. It looks as if you're black and I'm the white with the picture you provided.

I already know whats going to happen.
I move the king e1-e2. Then you move the pawn d4-d3 for a checkmate.
This is what I get for not playing chess for over 25 years.
Blame the video games for that.
