I should be able to make at least Saturday. I have to work Sunday and Friday. (Thankfully, Friday is a day shift, and local.)

I should be there Saturday as well. I need Friday to rest up and prepare for the drive there.

the ending. and the fact that keano reeves is a stoner... it was an awsome movie but i think of adding more comedy like having anna nichole smith in it. non the less my request for a panel has been declined because they didnt have enough room. ill probably be doing it at chimara con in san antonio next year.

I'm just going to have a look around, see the stuff in the dealers room, talk with you and Scott(If he shows up) and then make like a tree and leave.

I'm tentatively planning on coming. I had to miss it last year because of bad timing and other stuff going on. This year, however, I'm going to try for it.

Well, I can't go to Oni-con because my boss changed the work schedule. I was suppose to have 3 days off that weekend. Now I don't so I can't go.

Hurricane Rita has muxed up my schedule, so I'm not sure whether I'll be there or not. With Fig backing out, too, I'm not quite as motivated to push it, especially since I'm going to be straining to free up getting to the Renaissance Festival.

I still might try for it; I want to see what my friends and family intend to do. I have a son-in-law who wants to visit, and I'm not sure of what day he'll be in. I suggested dropping in around Oni-Con time. (Yes, I'll have to work at least part of the time of his visit, but that's the same any time.) He's an anime fan, and he might like it.

There's also the Texas Renaissance Festival. Maybe I should start a thread and see if anyone wants to go.

Sorry. I can't go.

I had 3 days off that weekend. Now I only have 2. I don't want to drive all the way there, spend a few hours looking around, and then turn around leave. I'd like to spend a whole day, not a few hours.

Besides. I need to save up for some new tires. Traveling with these high gas prices won't do me any good.

Duckie-tossing might be a cute publicity stunt, but only as long as the duckie recipient has a sense of humor and isn't likely to press charges of assault. Sure, we welcome duckie-toss sightings.

At the moment, I intend for a brief drop-in, maybe for a few hours. Not guaranteed, however, as showing up right now is a low priority, since I'm already juggling the Renaissance Festival and two jobs, and unlike A-Kon, I'm not meeting with family members or friends--except conceivably Apharoh from the Pack, as detailed above. Anime conventions are best when shared.

yeah im pretty well aquanted with mike and vic as for the ayers brothers, ive met them at several premeres and they will most likely let me do it... its not really a rubber duckie its more like a stress foam duckie that i got from taking a test to see how crazy i am...turns out i have signs of manic depression

No....it wasn't the duckie. If I go there and start throwing duckies around, I'll get kicked out of there for sure.

I could change my mind in the last minute if something comes up.

Current status: Possibly, but not reliably so.

The thing is right here. I'm on one side of Houston, and it's on the other. And, it's not like there's hurricane-evacuating traffic turning it into a fourteen hour drive. It's this Saturday. I think I can afford at least an afternoon or something. If nothing else, I can scout around and plan for next year.

Apharoh: if my odds look better, I'll send contact info by private message if you're interested in trying to meet. If I do come, it probably would only be for a few hours, however, since I'm working the previous day and the next.

Figarou: Mega-bummer. Sorry you couldn't make it. That was bloody darn close.

hola dukie fans... its friday and ive already pegged Mike the Ares Brothers 2 voice actors that i coulnd remember there names and a few other random people. i am hoping to peg vic on saturday. Scott i hope you can show up... the pack member from akon (im terrible with names) that had the really cool werewolf costume... and i believe fig scratched behind the ears is there... Yay

Sorry I missed it. A combination of work hours, fatigue, and lack of advance planning and preparation kept me from going this year. Appearantly it takes more these days than simply intending to go to a con to get there.

Oh well. There's A-Kon next year. I'm planning for that puppy early. And, perhaps Anthrocon.
