Graphics for Freeborn?

I'd love to make a few banners, maybe some desktops images, and other such promotional material. I'm sure there are others out there that would like to apply their trades as well to help out in the same sort of way.

Of course to do so would require the raw image files to start from. I could do screen-caps of the YouTube videos, but that's a bit, well, under-professional? I suppose?

There is also the issue of the need for the actors to be cast as that would make more of an impact in some of the promotional materials - and that has to wait for now.

But I'm sure there are other things we could do given the opportunity and supplies of raw material? (ex. The wolf arm, the font used, what ever images could be supplied at this time?)

Thoughts?

We could probably further help cut costs through volunteer efforts such as this, or at least supplement formal marketing with our volunteer work.

A deeper search through this site should show some of the graphics and material that was made back around 2005--the original hand/paw image, some Celtic knot-work wallpapers, a few images based on screen-shots from the 2005 teaser, and a series of demo stock photos of a lady standing in for a werewolf character from the film, shifting for the first time--as well as some of our efforts to render photomanipulations of her shifting. You can see flashes of these images towards the end of "A Call to Arms."

Edit: ah, crap. A lot of them are gone, probably because this site got moved a few times over the years. PM me an email address, and I can send you what I've got, provided you've got the bandwidth to receive I think about 25-30 Megs of data.

By now you should have it in your inbox. For once, your inbox should be fuller than your spam box!

Test, this is just a test.

This is a rough WIP. I wasn't sure if I should put this into the art section, here, or what?

*note: I wasn't sure the copyright info details to add to this, so PLEASE don't share it about until that has been corrected. Thanks. :)

1024x768 desktop? Who uses those anymore?

But yeah the background is something I would change personally, draws too much attention. :)

What would you change about it?
And what other sizes are we talking about?

I'm just poking fun at you with your desktop resolution, widescreen format is now consider the norm these days with 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 being the most popular. XD

As for the picture, it just looks like there is too much going on I'm not entirely sure at which part of it am I suppose to focus at. I'm no expert when it comes to graphics design so don't take me too seriously. :)

Sorry, fergot to add the smilies. I'm a little less sensitive to crits, especially after I've asked for them. ;) *grins*

But yeah, I'm still poking about with a 1024 myself. ;) Thanks for the size heads up. It's saved at 300dpi, so switching up sizes shouldn't be too hard. ;)

I wanted a bit of claw like texture in there, but wanted to keep the space open and keep the edges clear. Should I try to keep the bottom clear as well? In case Mac users want this for their desk top? I feel silly for not keeping their bottom icon bar in mind. OOPS.

*wanders back for some tweaking*

Okay - So as to not clutter this up w/ a bunch of wips... I'm just going to plop them into my "generic" art thread I suppose. :)

I'm barely four months away from graduating with my BFA In graphic design, so if there's anything I can do to help, let me know. Posters, flyers, etc.

The more the merrier, I say! Hey, AB, if you crowd source this work, and allow us to use it for our professiobnal portfolios, you might get some good and less expensive labor.

See "wreck a movie" for ideas on that.
