This is gonna be so freaking amazing, I can not wait! Love how they brought this back to life,I think they are doing an excellent job.

I'm very excited, and I'm looking forward.

I do, however, wish that Star Trek would move away from conflict-driven space opera and go back to its roots as deep intellectually driven stories. And, no, those don't have to be boring or talky. The new Doctor Who has the flavor of the original Star Trek series--surreal stories that make you think, that aren't just about defeating an angry villain.

Yes, it would be nice to see it take that direction.I grew up watching the reruns of the original but connected more to the Next Generation series.Which I felt was less conflict driven.Probably because I actually watched it as it ran and didn't just catch reruns.For me the Next Generation touched on a lot of moral issues and real thought provoking senerios.Hopefully we can,in the future see this reborn movie series do the same.

some hate new star trek movies i hate old ones(ST-TNG,ST voyager,....).
