7 or 8 but 10 was good to

Sipheroth and Cloud are so cool they are hands down some of the coolest charactors in Video gamedom. What's your favorite

10 is my personal favroite, the reason why Ididnt like 7 or 8 is becuase it was too hard for a noob RPG gamer like me and it didnt have any voice acting. But Im shure Ill like the remake, I might even buy 7 for the PS1 just for the hell of it.

That's because it was for the PS1 we were all noob RPG game noobs.
Go shoo go play the game you have to try it again, and read, just because it's not voiced over and old doesn't make it less good. :P

Well at least go watch the trailor you don't need quicktime :)

Ten's my favorite too, gamewise for two reasons:

1) Turn-based combat. I can understand why AT is so popular -- it allows for more suspense-based gameplay, but I like being able to cycle through a menu to find the item I'm looking for or plan my strategy intricately as was necessary for many of the boss fights. . . Which is also why FFX-2 pissed me off -- they reinstated AT but kept the latter boss fights just as strategy-demanding.

2) Summons on the field.

And of course, the plot, voice acting etc. easily made them the most animated and easy to care for characters of any Squaresoft game.

Still, I'm just as hyped over this as you are -- I'd love to see the FF7 cast with up-to-date animation. Cloud's hair actually doesn't look that weird in that format. :D

Yes, but Sipheroth looks like a drugy, or is that just how i see him?

Trailer gave me problems too -- finally got it elsewhere:
http://mokkori67.free.fr/trailers/e3_2005.mov

As for Sephiroth being druggy... I think that's another character entirely, but that's definitely him coming flying at Cloud right at the last split-second.

Also, it's good to see that they're giving Vincent a more central role in the storyline. He was seriously underused in the video game, though I hope his step into the spotlight doesn't mean some of the seven other NPCs have been cut short. I'm at least relieved to see they all made it into the trailer (minus Cait Sith who has a valid excuse), but, uh... Is it me, or does it look like their all just being given camera time. It'd be a lot more refreshing to see further character development with all of them and not just some cool animation footage (sure, Barret and Red XIII look like they whomp in that sequence, but I'd like to see a little more than that).

I saw it :) (my sis has a copy) Very beutiful animation and visuals. A wolf appered a couple times!!! 8) But I wasnt really impressed story wise. It was kindof all over the place and all...but then again, I never played any of the Final Fantasy games. A fan of it may 'get it' better than I; knowing the backstories of the characters/world already and all. :D

A red one with a flaming tail? If so, that's Red XIII, easily one of the coolest Final Fantasy NPCs ever concieved (short only of Vincent from FF7 and Auron from FFX -- what is it about guys that don't talk much and wear black suits with red capes that cover the lower part of their faces?)

So, uh... Just a couple? If all he gets is a little bit of camera time, that's actually kind of depressing. :P

Sephiroth a druggie, huh? Hmm...

Well, does Mako count as a drug? Prolonged exposure does make your eyes glow (as is the case with both Cloud and Sephiroth).

Ooo, Red's in the movie? Cool! I'm most certainly watching that. I've always been a FF fan, FF7 being a favorite. Which reminds me, I have a 75% or so completed save on my install of the PC version that I should go finish sometime...

I don't play the Final Fantasy series anymore, I stopped somewhere around FFIII which was the best IMHO. I'll probably see the movie anyway.
