Ah... I'm definately seeing this one. I love most war movies, I have seen nothing about the Gulf War so this should be interesting.

You havent seen Three Kings? that was a pretty good one that took place in the Gulf War.

A friend of mine saw this movie. He said it was terrible. And he usually likes war movies.

I saw it and I liked it. It does a good job of showing the effect of war and military training has on a persons life even after they are out. One warning thiough: this movie is freaking long 2H 30Min or in that ballpark.
It definatly an R movie though. I would give it a 3 out of 5

3 out of 5? That's not too good. 2.5 hours isn't that long really...

I will probably go see it and leave in tears.

Granted, there's no real 'bright side' to war... But I really do like War movies, perhaps because of how passion stirring they are, especially knowing so many people who've served in my community and extended family.

I saw it, and i felt that it was a hell of a good movie. it was a spectacular description of the reality that many are faced with.

My friend was wrong. I saw it, and it was a very good movie.

True, it's not your typical war movie.
I really admire the director for being able to make a war movie where the main character is never really participating actively in the war.
I would have thought would be really hard, but he did fine.

I've been meaning to see this. Obviously it isn't a through and through war/battles movie. But sometimes, the battles are only half the story of war, and I like the fact that a side of war we usually do not see is presented here. I wonder how many of the local theaters are playing it...
