Are you a model train enthusiast?

I just saw an ad in a magazine for a working, lit model train that features wolf art. It's called the Silver Moon Express. Hawthorne Village is offering it. On30 scale with HO-gauge track.

They wouldn't come out with the lump sum price, they just did the "Three easy payments of [XYZ] for..." yadda-yadda, so I'm guessing it'll be about $70 all told. That includes the power pack and tracks.

Edit: Just checked the site, it's $70 PER ISSUE. Steam engine and coal tender are one issue, plus three cars, $280!!! :jawdrop:

Not a train enthusiast myself, but I know somebody for whom that would make a great gift for. . . If it wasn't expensive as Hell anyway. :P

Yeah, I think it's $70 per piece (engine and tender being one), and they give you up to three months to pay for each piece, $24 per drop. That's kind of sustainable but they wouldn't have the full set until next summer.

70 bucks aint bad, I know i hve an engine thats worth over $1000 (bought for like 10 or 20 I'm sure). I havent touched my set in ages, so i am not sure what other pieces i have, though i know my grandpa also has some really nice pieces....its amazing what you can pick up at yard sales
