What do you think about "reptoids"?

Here is a little info page to explain what reptoids are:
The Cryptid Zoo: Reptoids
Since reptoids are so frequently depicted as shapeshifters, I thought this topic would be especially appropriate for this board.
I've seen the popularity of these theories soar in recent years. Personally, I find them intriging (as folklore) and amusing (because they are quite silly). Ideologically, I do like the idea of George W. Bush as a shapeshifting reptile who drinks blood and eats babies, and I do think Prince Charles is a class-A weirdo. I just can't believe they are reptoids on anything more than a purely symbolic level.
Part of me wonders if these sightings and the associated conspiracy theories are just an elaborate joke being played on the current administration.
They really have caught on in a surprising way. My husband tells me that, recently, nearly half a coffee shop he was in got emptied out because he had a heated discussion with a reptoids believer (my husband is not a believer, and he did not bring up the topic in the first place).
