Those of you who have sent in registration info have been registered, and just follow the instructions when you connect.

Now to connect you need a client. Just a little program for these types of things. Its a closed server so IRC can't just wander in.

One more thing, after you connect it places you in a small room. Type 'out' to get into the main room, or rather the forrest clearing.

Actually darksong, you need to Pmail me your login information first, so I can set you up there.

I need your Username

and I need a password from you.

I'm not sure of the software that Figarou is using, but most of it is relatively the same, you have a server name, and you have a port setting.

Then connect, usually thats as simple as it gets. Its probably in properties panel of your software.

Mine says Session Name, Hostname/IP address, Port, Character, Password, and some default thingy. Whats it all mean. lol

Okay

lynx.tigerden.com is the hostname/IP
6040 is the port
Session name The Pack
Character {pmail me what you want for a character name
Password {pmail me the password too

When you first connect if it asks you for a user name password then type.

connect [username] [password]

I'll be a bit busy for a few days, but I'll try to poke my head in sometime over the weekend. Hopefully there'll be a nice crowd of folks to interact with.

I'll have to give this a try once I get back to my apartment from the office. I'm sure it'll be great fun. Are we starting before getting bitten, like was initially hinted?

I went to the lynx.tigerden.com, but I dont know what to click on. The redwall site, you can chose any of the programs you want right? (anything $0.00 for me)

ok, I got a lot of it figured out. But it will not accept my username and password. Does it want it like this:<username><password>

The logon when you connect to the server is thusly.


connect username password

The "cave of awakening" should be the main room. The chat will be in there.

there will be someone in the first room to guide folks to the chat area, which will be in the forest clearing.

Heh. I might need an admin to teleport me. I'm still stuck in those rooms I made.

Just type home

it will take you to the cave of awakenings, then you can go 'out' from there to the main area.

I had to set my home to a different room to get there. I could probably teleport back if I knew the room number for the grove.

I don't think room #s are involved. I was told to type "Out" from the main room. The OOC is "se" Type "SE" to get there.

Those are exits specific to the rooms you're already in.
