should werewolves be born or bitten?
what do you think? should werewolves be born werewolves, or should they become werewolf when bitten?
ya I think both If not you would have all werewolfes being imbread
But ya If you have read the wereling books it has something on that alot in the first book but ya it needs to be both.
I bitten is more for a story you have more ways to move a plot but born you have a more stable controled werewolf
I think freeborn will have both

Indeed... Why should it be an "either/or"?kitetsu wrote:Personally i think the votes should be like this:
- Born
- Bitten
- Created
- All of the above
Both works for me. Also, the "Created" option intrugues me as well. I am fond of Werewolves created by Magical "Curses" and Spells.
...All of the Above...

I've voted for all of the above, but I would say werewolves are mostly common born or bitten ... although created could mean that a werewolf creates another one without using a bite to turn him/ her into one ... the werewolf could simply use his/her saliva or the like and puts this in another ones food ... this would count as created, I think ...

Example of a "Created" Werewolf:
*Evil Wizard/Mystic/Witch/etc...*
"You DARE to insult Me?...you pathetic FOOL. I banish you back to whence you came, and send you with the mark of the "WOLF". When the full moon rises above your tranquil village this night, you will transform into a great Beast, and you forget who you are and cease to recognise your loved ones from you dinner, and you will rampage and feed, and when the sun rises the following morn, you will be left alone to morn the the tragedies struck by you Own Hands".
*EVIL LAUGHTER*
...or...
A man seeks a great and powerful Shaman to Fully bind his spirit to his spirit animal (Wolf...naturally), and they perform a secret, mystical cerimony that sacrifices a small portion of his humanity for the power to assume the form of a Wolf, and fuses his spirit-guides soul with his own, forever changing who he is. ...but when evil and greed comes to take away his home, the wolf awakens from within and a great howl is heard echoing across the hills that continues to echo in the minds and hearts of those lucky enough to escape it's wrath for the rest of thier lives...filling thier souls with fear that someday, the WOLF will find them...
I think "CREATED" Werewolves are pretty cool too.

Yeah I'd say both. If werewolves breed, then they can evolve...and that could lead to some very interesting things. Might write a story on that, though I'm betting it's been done several times.

The change, does it wrack the bones and rend the flesh ? Yes, indeed it does. But is this pain and agony alone ? No, in fact hardly at all. It is the Sacrament of the Moon. The flesh flows and so do the endorphins. It is, in truth, the agony ecstatic; The Pain That Is Pleasure

I have no real opinion on how a new Werewolf should be introduced, but lets say there is Inbreeding, there could be a slip in a gene, causing the child to be born in the gestalt/hybred form, without the shapeshifting ability.
A fractured psyche is not always a bad thing. In the world of Werewolves and Otherkin, many can exist in one host very peacefully. I am a great example of that. I have 6 different Fursonas
