Checked few sources.
I'm born some 2 days after full moon. I suppose that is close enough
(10th September 1987, if you want to check it)
I'm Virgo, born in the year of the Rabbit.

Lemmesee: According to the Astrological Computer on another site; I was born (Dec 14 1947) under a fat, full moon...unless that freebie cast is all screwed up, that is.
I was busy at the time and didn't notice, myself; and I was inside a building in a room with no windows.

98% full, IIRC, and waxing, so...literally, if not actually considered full, then it would be the night right before it.
And to make matters even more fun....Libra born on the cusp of Scorpio. However, to throw a monkey wrench right into that whole mess...apparently, when throwing Tarot cards down for me, they've never dropped with air or water, which is what Libra/Scorpios are traditionally attuned to, but a whole lot of fire and swords. Aren't I just a fun ball of wax?

The new Moon, heah' under gemini.
That makes me a ragabash.
How fitting.
60% were born under the full or new moon, appropriate, as they are the most relevant phases to lycanthropy.

Re:
Actually, the original Tarot deck had it that Wands were Fire, Swords were Air, Cups were Water and Pentacles were Earth... i have a couple of tarot decks at my house and a few books that explain things... plus, both zodizc signs i was born under are fire, but i'm more attunded to water because i'm caring person... Tarot really doesn't connect as much with the Zodiac as it does with the person, or at least i think that's how it goes... Swords represent mind, intelect, and Fire is force, fury, etc... sound anything like you?Konietzko wrote:98% full, IIRC, and waxing, so...literally, if not actually considered full, then it would be the night right before it.

anyway, i'm an aries, with leo as my rising sign, and i was born in the year of the snake... i'll have to check what phase of the moon i was born under and post it later... hmm... any idea where you can find that data?
(Ball of WAx? Careful... Fire MElts wax... okay, okay, so that was just stupid... for some odd reason the human actually sounded smart there... i wonder why?)
EDIT: Ah crud! I was born on a new moon... hmm... wonder if that's why o'm so dark now.
(:P Eh, bad pun...)

Re: Moon Phases
I'm surprised by the inordinate amount of people claiming to be born on either a New or Full Moon, especially when simple probability would say otherwise.

Re: Moon Phases
Remember: People refer to the Moon as "Full" for three nights in a row; ditto the New Moon in most places.
The actual numbers are: Day-1: 96/97% full. Day 0: Full 100% full. Day+1 94/45% full. People usually don't see the unlit shred of the moon, so its "full" for three days.
The New Moon is a little easier, most of the time. Depending on where you live, for the New (dark) moon it's Day-1: 1 to 3% visible. Day 0: Nada. Dark. Maybe you can still see it via the light bent by earth's atmosphere for a while, but it's dark. Really. Day+1: 2-3% of the moon is visible.
If you have crappy night skies, you might not see it; it's not very apparent.
All the other phases (waxing, waning, gibbous, failing, etc.) are pretty well visible, and last only one night. So; the odds, if not the astronomy- favors either Full or New. They're "visible" longer.

Re: Moon Phases
The New Moon lasts for 3 days. The Full Moon lasts for 3 days. It takes 28 days for the Moon to revolve around the Earth once.
That's, in total, 6 out of 28 days that there is either a full or new moon. That's hardly Half.
Also: Visability has no account in this. I hardly doubt anyone here looked up at the sky and remembered the phase of the moon the very day they were born. Most of us are using online calculators.

Re: Moon Phases
I didn't know this until like 5 seconds ago, but yeah...full moon.
I was born three days before it, actually, but I'm closer to the full moon date than the gibbous one. The things you find out on the internet...

What can create a new system, or destroy an old one? What can change the lives of everyone who touches it? What can strengthen the whole world, or shake it to its very roots? What can create whole nations, and change the course of history?
