New Feature Implementation?

Hey, can we get one of those things that randomly generates text and numbers, so that in order to register, you have to type in the text and numbers? I realize that (at the moment) bots aren't exactly a big problem around here, but as advertisers get more desperate and the site gets more popular, bots might soon become a greater nuisance.

Yeah, as much as I dislike those things when they give me impossible to read combinations, I think it would be a good idea. It's not that much trouble to fill out and it helps keep the site bot free with little effort once it's put in place. Like you said, now might be a little early for it, but when the site gets more popular it or something like it could prove very useful.

That's actually a toggle in the admin panel.

It won't stop the smarter bots though.

What toggle? I don't see one.

As for bots, I'm trying my best to delete them as they join. I deleted 7 before going to work yesterday. Not threads, accounts.

I hope it is OK for me to post in here.

I have been attempting for literary purposes, to center text. The general impression I get when posting, is that UBB and HTML work.

But in practice, they seem to NOT work.

So [ center ]should center text[ /center ]

Or < center >ought to center text< /center >

The spaces are to assure that the UBB and HTML remain visible.

Both the above fail however to center anything.

Especially for poetry, I like these functions to work.

In message boards, really beautiful things can be done, when HTML is working.

Thank you for your time.

phpBB's BBCode doesn't support [center].

Fig could probably enable it in the list of allowed HTML, though.

<center>This is the tool I wish to have
The code that will please my heart.
The HTML that will center my poems
And stylize my art</center>

Except it is not working.

Would it be possible to add another tag like you did with strikethrough?

regex:
'/\[center\](.+?)\[\/center\]/s'

replace:
'<center>$1</center>'

I'm not sure how the phpBB internals work.

When it says "HTML is ON", it doesn't mean all html.

It means just the tags allowed in the admin panel

Yeah, it'd be real easy.

In fact, I just did it in about 5 minutes to the test board.
