As she heard the chuckle she turned around and after she saw the older women she immediately stood up listening carefully to her words. In the first moment she had problems to understand her, but then she caught the meaning of her first words and a fine smile appeared on her face. She bowed respectfully in front of her and nodded.

"As you wish. May you talk to me here or somewhere else?"

Her gaze obeserved the women before her while she waited for her to reply. Especially her eyes caught her interest, because among her own folk green eyes were very seldom and she had been the only one in her whole pack who had had green eyes.

"Ye may talk here lass...
no-one but me 'n the Totems will hear..."

It seemed she payed no heed to the other three Fianna that were sitting very near to them, nor did she motion for any to move away...

While she was listening, the eyes of the woman seemed to bore into the mind of the young Fenrir. These emerald eyes took on a golden hue while doing so, giving the impression that some inner light shone through them.
She made no movement or sound during this tale... just this silent gaze.

"well now... t'is not a thing to take lightly. The council must talk... read the signs and talk to out totems..."

She gazed at the three Fianna that had just sat there, hearing every word of this conversation

"and how's about these three cliath assure that you don't get bored on our moot... please, bear this token of our hospitality. Drink and eat... and if y'er lucky.. find you a kin*

As she said these last words she handed the Fenrir girl a small ribbon of green cloth and a broad smile when she mentioned the Kin. It would seem that the Fianna were going to live up to their reputation

"and you three, go and feast... don't sit 'ere like bloody logs... Y'er Cliath now... so act like it"

She took Brannu's drinking horn with these words and emptied it in one long drink, grinning at him as she handed it back...

"there ya go, One-Swig... y'er young, go fetch another"

Brannu stared at the horn and then at the ritemaster and burst into loud laughter as he walked over to the barrels of mead to refill. The woman turned and left...

"and how's about these three cliath assure that you don't get bored on our moot... please, bear this token of our hospitality. Drink and eat... and if y'er lucky.. find you a kin*
With a respectful bow she took the small ribbon from the older Fianna-Woman and smiled relieved as she was told to eat and drink, because she hadn't done so since a long while and the hunger was almost driving her mad. She even smiled when she heard Sees-through-Stone mention that she could even dare to find a mate for this night under the Fianna's kinfolk, but she fairly doubted that she would find one somehow.

She couldn't resist a short laugh at the sight of Sees-through-Stone taking the drinking horn from Brannu and emptying it swiftly before the young warrior could react to it. As the older woman left she looked to the three who were left. she somehow felt uncomfortable to feast now with them after her companions had been slaugthered in this terrible way, but it would be a shameful thing to deny the Fianna's hospitality, so she decided to forget her worries at least for this one night

"Well, now that my message is delivered it's up to your elders to discuss what to do with it, I guess. May I lend a drinking horn from one of you? Mine I lost when I was forced to leave my Leader to act upon his orders."

Brannu looked at the Fenrir girl and nodded. He realised that is the tale was true she must have been through hell and that at least deserved a drink and something to eat.

He returned to the mead-barrels, picked up an empty clay mug that someone had left carelessly into the grass and filled it with mead. He tgen gestured to one of the Kin there present to cut of a big slice of the boar that was roasting over the open fires of the Caern and bring it to the girl.

"Here ya go, Fenrir. At least we can offer ya drinks and warm food... the least we can do with what you've been through..."

He gave her a quick look-over and added

"Not that you Fenrir will admit that sheit hurts of course, y'er all too tough fer that..."

As he returned to sit down, he casually chose a spot closer to the newly arrived guest - as if to literally oversee that she would have what she needed, like the elder had decreed.

The two other Fianna had taken to themselves. Kalan had walked of to some group of laughing Fianna, soon sharing in their mirth and their tales. The Girl - a shaman it was said - kept her ears to the winds, looking around at people as if expecting to see something... and sometimes even staring into nothing and smiling. It was rather strange to see.

"Here you go honoured guest"

A thick slice of greasy meat, placed on a rough wooden plate appeared before the Fenrir. Some bread accompanied it... as did a strange thick honeyed smell. The young man walked of as soon as he had come, just leaving enough time for the girl to accept the plate

"It's smeared with herbs and honey-wine... you'll like it i'm sure"

Brannu quickly added the clarification as he noticed the surprised look on her face.

She was somewhat surprised about Brannu's suddenly change in behaviour towards her. But then she just accepted it and waited for the things to happen with her usual awareness.

She thanked Brannu with a short nod and a slight smile for the mead. While they were waiting for the meat she watched the young girl with the strange appearance and behaviour walking around and listening to things only she could hear. She smiled at this sight, because it remembered her of the old Theurge of her birthpack, Rune-Whistler.

She felt her stomach fiercly growling when the meat was set in front of her and this distracted her interest in the strange girl.

"It's smeared with herbs and honey-wine... you'll like it i'm sure"
"Well, this we will see soon, if I like it, my honored host."

With this words she started to eat the meat and carefully probing the taste of it. After the first bites she nodded appreciately and then she had to control herself not to swallow the whole slice in one because of her burning hunger. This would have been a shameful loss of self-control.

Siobhan had changed back into her human form. She kept on walking gently around the camp. Her attention seemed to be on everything and yet nothing all at once. Her deep blue eyes seemed to peer into the very souls that were present in the camp. Her hair blew gently in the light breeze. She then found a log not far from where Brannu and the other sat and sat down. A slight smile on her face.

*Brannu looked at both women, each sitting quietly on their own logs, minding their own business...*

Ahem... so, good to see ye like the food. Told ya ye'd like it...

*after seeing the guest wolf down the meat, he raised an eyebrow*

well, seems like ye've travelled long on an empty stomach, didn't ye.
There's more if ye like... just over by that fire.Wait, lemme call for some more...

*yells* Hey ! Hey boy ! bring us a couple more will ya ? Good lad !

And you Siobhan, it's no time to be all gloomy and thoughtfull now, Lass... get that wild blood flowing ! We're Fianna, for the Mother's sake ! At least drink a little... all that thinkin' will dry out yer brain...

*With these words, Brannu jumped up and walk-skipped over to Siobhan on the beats of the Celtic drums and flutes, taking her hand and pulling her up, forcing her into a wild dance around the fires...*

*yells* C'mon, Fenrir, show us ya stuff... dance and drink untill the elders come again... they'll be long I'll tell ya !

Siobhan joined in perfect rythm to the wild dance that Brannu had pulled her into. She danced with an ancient mysterious grace about her. Her deep blue eyes sparkled like gems in the flickering fire light. Her long black hair seemed to have a mind of it's own. Twisting and turning about as she danced. She grasped Brannu's hand forcing him to try and keep up with her.

Brannu laughed loudly again, sensing Siobhan was giving herself fully to the rythm of the drums... and he followed suit.

Whaahahaha ! Let the blood burn ! Let the heart pound ! WE ARE FIANNA ! And the moon will shatter and the sun sink before we let the passions die !

With these words he let go of Siobhan's hand, swiftly jump-dancing over part of the fire, to land right next to a kinfolk girl and resume the wild dance with her. Something she obviously did not object to...

Mere seconds had this happened, or another hand grasped Siobhan's waist and followed her dancing moves around the fire. A gentle voice whispered...

May I have this dance, Rhya ?

Upon hearing the suffix of honoured superiour being used, Siobhan could only conclude that a kinfolk had see his chance to revel in the dance with her...

She watched Brannu and Siobhan dance with the Kinfolk and while doing so she continued her meal. She had been hungry for so long and she liked the strange taste of the meat. She enjoyed the feeling of filling her stomach and tried to get a feeling for the music around her. The beating of the drums and the sounds of the other instruments, their melodies were foreign to her - yet also beautiful and urging enough to pull at something in her. She wanted to join the music.

After she had finished her meal she stood up and looked around. She swiftly spotted some musicians of the Fianna and walked over to them. She watched them playing their instruments and listened to their singing voices. She bowed respectfully to them and nodded into the direction of one of the drums.

"May I borrow one of these, honored artists of the Fianna? And may we bargain some songs and melodies to each other?"

One of the musicians, a middle-aged man with dark red hair and a scarred but fit body, looked at the girl when hearing her request. His gaze took in every centimeter of her body, as if appraising some quality that would express itself in her physique.

Well now, lass... it's dangerous to come between a child of Stag and it's instruments. But...
Let's see what you've got in these nordic arms of yours huh ?
Can you follow the drums of Plays-Like-The-Sidhe ?
Or outpace the rythms of Breath-like-the-Wind ?

Play, Nordic one... and pray to impress us...

Loud, wut well-meant laughter rose from the assembled musicians, without so much as a break in the music... a drum was given and many eyes now rested on her...

She took the drum with another respectful bow and blended out the laughter of the Fianna musicians around her. She knew that she had to give the best of her best to show these artists that she was worth her instruments.

She didn't know the songs the man had just told her but she decided that it was appropiate to first give a short example of her drumming skills. She deeply concentrated on what she was going to do and recalled in her mind all the lessons of Torgrimm Blood-in-the-Winds - The Skald who had been her mentor.

She listened again to the beating drums of the Fianna and dove deeply into the rhythm, forgetting everything around her. The only thing that counted was the beating rhythm of the drums. Then she started to go along with them, enjoying the music like a good fight, letting her arms and hands beat the drums without noticing anymore what was going on around her.

Siobhan glanced over her shoulder at the Fianna who had asked her to dance. She nodded gracefully and leaned in closer to her new dance partner all the while keeping the same wild ancient rythm. She noticed the nordic take up the drum and smiled. The rythm was good and the moon was bright. She danced as the flickering flames stood bright and clear in the night.

The young Fenrir found the task of keeping up with the rythm harder than imagined. She had never played these songs before and they seemed very fluent in their course. No sooner had she found the correct pace, or again it shifted to a higher or slower one...

But it could not last... the power that was inherent in her blood, her very birthright manifested itself as unheard whispers came into her mind and guided her through the difficult shifts and twists of the songs...

No long after this, sweating from the heavy drumming, but not slowing down at all, she noticed smiles and nods from the other musicians....
It was understood...
She was a Galiard...

All the while, the dance kept going. Often people left the revel to sit and enjoy a drink or a mate's company, but soon they where replaced by those still seeking the joy of the dance.

Brannu seemed very absorbed with the girl he danced with, exchanging glances that spoke of building passions, bending close to her ear to speak words that coloured her cheeks as vividly as her flaming locks of hair...
To no-one's surprise, He was soon gone from the dance... as was the girl

The man Siobhan was dancing with seemed to be one of the Tribe's younger kinfolk hunters... no older than 17 winters she guessed. But he had long earned his tokens of manhood - as attested by the golden torc around his neck. He danced with the intensity of a hunter, as if chasing the moves of her dancing form with spear and bow, enduring and steady as only a hunter can be...

But while he did that, there was no mistaking the deference he showed, knowing that he was but Kin and thus her lesser... despite his advances and intensity, he knew this girl - a shaman of the Tribe - held all the cards...

Siobhan danced with a mysterious grace about her. The firelight flickered and seemed to swirl around her as she danced with her new partner. Though he was a lesser rank she found herself enjoying his company. Even if she was 24 winters old and he was only 17. Her deep blue eyes observed the hunter before her as she danced. Her ebony black hair swayed with her movements and there seemed a mystical quality to her movements. She stomped once and a shower of light blue sparks came from the dust that her foot stired up. She grinned and continued dancing.

Kalan watched his fellow cliath dance with a slight grin. And noticed the Ffenris girl had taken to playing the drums with the Fianna muscians and was doing rather well at it no less.

Kalan took another swig of mead before joining in the dance himself.

As Kalan joined in the dance Siobhan grabbed his hand lightly getting him into the rhythm of the dance. Her black hair seemed to have a mind of it's own her deep blue eyes shone like gems in the flickering light. She turned around with a graceful air and put her foot down again and the same light blue sparks came up from the dust. She laughed lightly her laughter blending into the music as if peals of bells.

The young hunter was clearly confused by Siobhan's action. He quickly moved away - even to the point of stopping his dancing - as she took the other garou's hand in her dance.
He swiftly dissapeared in the mass of swirling and dancing bodies.

The feast was reaching it's peak. Dancing was widespread in the Caern's fields, the smell of roasted meat mingling with the aroma's of mead and the sweat of the dancers and musicians.
It had the makings of a great Fianna revel.

Siobhan watched as the young hunter dissapeared. A look of dissapointment crossed her features for a brief moment. Oh well, he must have had enough she concluded and started back up her rhythm. Strong and mystical she continued to dance. She smiled brightly as she felt the music and smelled the meat, mead and her kinfolk. It was a great night for the Fianna truly.

Night Stalker, sitting where the Gatekeeper had left him, gazed onward at the evening’s festivities. His journey had been long and arduous and his muscles ached from several moons of hard running. The spirits had told him to venture here and so here he came. A great disturbance in the balance had occurred and he was anxious to determine its cause. He knew only of a powerful totem’s demise and the destruction of a pack save one survivor. The spirits had avoided his questions, something he was not at all accustomed to, something was very wrong, very wrong indeed.

Then, something roused his interest, he heard the drum beat change slightly, a little off time to begin but settling quickly into the flow. He recognised the Fenrir touch and howled in approval before he could restrain himself. Ashamed of his sudden outburst he turned in a circle and sat back down to lick his paws cleaning the dirt from his grey fur. His tail wagging, he sat, waiting to be summoned.

Alexandra put down her plate. She had not had a decent meal in a while. She loved hunting in her lupus shape but it was nice to have cooked food at least every once in a while. The Fianna knew their cooking. She had to give them that. The feast was excellent and it felt good to be amongst other Garou after being on the move for so long.

It seemed like this was an all Fianna sept but she was not the only outsider here tonight. She had noticed the young woman with Nordic dress and manner. Being observant became a habbit when travelling alone with no one to watch your back. She knew she didn’t exactly fit into the crowd either. Her snow-white hair and pure breed always made her stand out.

She had also noticed there was something going on in the midst of the celebration that was causing concern amongst certain sept members. Alexandra had a good nose for trouble. However it was probably sept business and it would be rude to interfere. If her assistance or opinion were needed they would ask for it. Her plan for the present moment was to relax and enjoy the festivities and if there was action to be had later she was always up for it.

Soon Siobhan found the young hunter amid her kinfolk. With a sly smile she danced near him wondering what he would do. Would he be brave enough to resume dance with her? She could only wonder. The firelight seemed to shine in her deep blue eyes. As she danced the lock of silver hair shown brightly. It almost seemed to glow.

Joy filled her heart when she started to notice the appeciative nods of the Fianna musicians. She knew that she had done her deed very well. She hadn't brought shame over her old mentor Torgrimm Blood-in-the-Winds. She loved to sink down into the rhythm and to see the other garou and their kinfolk dance to the beating of the drums.

In this moment she heard a short howl from the outside of the camp. It was a short howl of approval but she couldn't determine for what and so she went on drumming, sinking even deeper into the drumming than before ...
