We must have talked about this before, and I know I've read an article about this very video before, but this is the first time I've ever actually seen the video footage of the introduction to Will Wright's (mastermind behind the #1 best selling game of all time: The Sims) newest brain project: Spore.

The quality isn't isn't that great -- it looks like a video of a videoscreen (the graphics look brighter than some of the screenshots I found), but it's still a good look at what might just be the future standard for game design.

Yeah I saw this a while ago, It looks amazing, It supposedly come out this year around Octoberish.

I've seen this before.

It. Looks. Awesome. Esspecially the later stages.

Its so customizable. I mean, he made a carebear...

Its a very awesome looking game. Definatly one I'll be getting.

Hmm...I haven't gotten any games in a while, but I think I might make an exception for this one. It looks amazing.

Agreed. I saw this recently, and am really looking forward to it, perhaps even as much as Oblivion. The pure flexibility and use of procedurals is amazing. I wonder how they'll select creatures/objects/etc to redistribute.
