Shara knew she had been descovered, but Morland hadnt revieled her, so she wouldnt reviel herself. After Morland whispered something to the beast, the beast nodded and the airhead left the table making more of those anoying movements of a go ahead to make a move on Morland.

She wished she knew what the heck Morland would want to talk to a beast for, Shara slipped a device onto her ear, this would ampliphy sound. Shara settled back down to listen, staying focused on the one important conversation.

Morland removed the com from his ear, turning it off with a soft frow. "I know of your lose on the battlefront," he whispered softly, making her give him her full attention to catch everyword. "Someone is setting up your fresh wolf's, not teaching them to control the change. You see, your brother was given three moons to straighten out his act."

He rose and leaned over, giving her a kiss on the cheeck to hide his softest whisper. "Do not blame the Nox Manor alone, someone is making sure your wolves cross the line." Morland slipped a piece of paper with his secondary address on it. "I would enjoy disscussing this matter futher, I do not like to see innocents die, no matter their form."

A soft, seductive smile on his face covered his trail if anyone was looking. "Bye Kate," he winked and dissapeared in the dancing bodies at the club and out the door, com in hand.

Shara fumed, eyes blazing she watched all. When Morland left, she rose and left swiftly, following the path Morland had tacken.

Morland had noted the anger that had seeped from his Apprentice, he had sidestepped the door, just around the corner -out of the bouncer's sight- and pulled Shara against him when she rounded the corner. "You are angry with me, Shara," he stated softly, his voice held no malice. "What have I done that has you displeased with your Old Master?" Silently he suspected it was either the reglect of his duties towards the Manor or his false intimence with Kate and Ann.

Softly the rain came down, but the wanning moon shown bright in the sky, everyonce in a while hidden by a wisp of grey cloud. He pulled Shara under an awning that went discreatly into an alley, preventing her disguise from being totally ruined. Silently he held onto her, waiting for her reply.

Silent anger flared from her eyes, "Ive never seen you flirt for the sake of the Vigilantes."

To hide the unwanted emotions she asked"Why were you talking to that beast?" Shara looked up at him, "the truth, why?"

"Ah, Shara," Morland sigh and removed his hands from her arms, "you are still young and inexperianced in our world." He turned away, leaning against the brick wall, studying its texture. "Not everything is as it appears," he turned around, "and it is best that we do not speak of these matters here," he guestured to the area that surrounded them.

Sadness touched his face. "I thought that you would be the greatest ever," Morland said, "even greater then I, but alas my dream, I do not think, will come true." Slowly Morland walked away, seating himself on the wet seat of his bike as he placed the helmet on his head. "I still do not understand why you are so angry with me," he sighed and kickstarted the bike, which purred to life. "As your Master I could order you to tell me the truth," Morland shook his head, "but I cannot, fore you must learn to speak the truth when troubled." He looked back at her and drove off.

I thought that you, being my First would be the greatest Vigilante ever and your and my legacy would be noted in the worlds of both man and beast, Morland thought silently to himself, ingoring the rain soaking and drenching his body, threating to make him shiver. You are getting old, he told himself. You never use to dream.

Kate watched him go, several different lines of though running though her head.

She had noticed her brother acting weird. But she'd chalked it up to mere infamiliarity. Perhaps it was indeed something more.

She understood his ideas fairly well. She didn't like seeing anyone die. She could tell by scent that he was not lying. there was the slightest hint of nervousness but other than that her senses agreed that he was telling the truth.

She slipped the paper into her pocket, winking at Ann across the room. Perhaps she could meet him elsehwre and they oculd exchange information.

Morland wearily opened the door to his second home, his clothes soggy. He left a note on the door for Kate reading: Just let yourself in. Radioing in with Lance and comfirmed that everything was fine and was going according to plan. "Please, I do not want any disturbance from the Manor," Morland sighed. "Yes, Sir," Lance had replied and cut the line to the com.

Stretching Morland pulled off his soaked shirt, dropping it in the kitchen sink as he pasted, no caring. Slowly he undressed leaving a trail of clothes that led to the bathroom where he intended to take a nice, long, hot shower.

Fiddling with the knobs Morland stepped under the hot pulse of the water with a soft sigh. Slowly the water eased his tight muscles and shook off the chill from riding in the rain. Does it always have to rain when I am undercover? Morland asked himself as he turned the shower off.

Shara stood alone and emotionally beaten, though Morland hadnt lifted a finger. She felt ashamed, she shouldnt have reacted like that. Knowing she wouldt find Morland for awhile, she pulled out a handheld all the Vigilantes had.

Morland,
Im sorry, i was out of line. I should not have questioned your actions. The woman had done nothing wrong, if she had, i know it would not have ended the way it had. Forgive me.

Love Shara

Shara stared a moment at the 'love' she had signed the letter with. With a sigh she pressed send, and walked slowly toward her vehicle and to home.

Morland jump, his handheld gently purred on the counter, near the gilded bathroom sink. Half dripping with water, he toweled his face and hair then knotted the towel around his waist. Looking down at the device and read the message:

Morland,
Im sorry, i was out of line. I should not have questioned your actions. The woman had done nothing wrong, if she had, i know it would not have ended the way it had. Forgive me.
Love Shara

He gave a soft whistle. So that is what his little apprentice was so angry about, Morland gave a soft smile, he had been right at the bar noting that Shara was an admirer, a little voice in his head gave a whistle. "Ah, my little minx," he softly laughed, "what a twisted web we weave."

Kate flicked through a map, looking for 'Sidney's' address. Once she found it, she dropped the paper in her pocket, grabbed her specialised carry-bag, and went outside. She glanced up at the sun. It was late afternoon, and she headed into the park near her home. The Dark Frost Tribe also owned this park, and it connected with a sheaf of forest that ran fairly close to the address 'sidney' had given her. She knew his name wasn't 'sidney'; she could smell the lie. But it didn't matter what his true name was, anyway.

She stopped once she was far enough into the forest not to be seen, and undressed quickly, stuffing her clothes into the carry bag. It was a small purse-like bag with elastic straps that would stay on with no trouble during a shift.

She crouched and shifted slowly, supressing both the pain of a shift and the rush iof pleasure from the power it presented her with. As was her wont, she sat for a few minutes in wolf form, making sure she remembered exactly what she was doing, and why. It as hard to concentrate, but after a moment more, she ran off towards the address.

Once she got close, she shifted back and walked towards 'sidney's' house. She didn't quite know what to expect.

Morland lifted his head, hearing the front door open, still posed over the handheld unit and only a towel as his clothing he deleted the message and began to dry off. "Ah, always behind on the time factor," Morland admitted with a soft snort that turned into a small, amused chuckle. Bless the Gods, Morland, you were dumb, leaving a trail of clothes to your "sancuatry", he thought silently.

Padding softly to the bedroom Morland donned a pair of black leather pants and began to pick up his dropped clothing. He trailed down the stairs, picking up his socks, boots, and other items; finally he reached into the kitchen sink and pulled out the soaked shirt. Morland smiled softly, his back to the other person in the room as he dropped the clothes into the washing room. "Hello Kate," he softly greeted. "Welcome to my home."

Postioning himself behind the counter Morland poured fresh water into the tea pot, placing it onto one of the oven's burners. "I am as awlful of a host as I am a guest," Morland softly smiled, briefly making eye contact with Kate. "What is it that you have comed to ask of old Sydney?" Lazily he leaned against the back counter, propped up on his elbows. "If it is hard evidence you want I am sure I can ."run around," a cruel smile touched Morland's lips, nothing would please him more then slaying those that had forced others to take innocent lives.

Kate attempted not to notice the state of his clothing and simply get some answers.

"I've heard what you said. So what do you know?"

Morland nodded from his postion behind the island. "Apparently the Vigilantes in the Manor always give a new lycanthrope three moons to grasp his beast," Morland nodded sympathetically, "if they have not and they are responsible for murdering an innocent, they by law they are removed from the Cycle of Life."

From the cupboard he pulled out a file. "This is all of the profiles for the lost werewolves of the Dark Frost Tribe over the last year, when your troubles began," he held the thick file up but gave a cruel smile, "but I will not give it up unless you promise me one thing..." he paused for a dramatic effect and to watch her response.

A teasing smile flitted onto Morland's lips. "If I tell you my true identity and continue to aid you in your search for the truth that you will not harm me." He cocked his head at her thinking, What does your true identity really matter? You should not tell her. He raised his chin in a silent challenge, his strong, handsome features turned to the likelyness of stone and his voice was like velvet on steel when he asked, "What is your answer?"

"Oh? And can I have your guarantee that you won't harm me?"

She smiled, showing a hint of sharpened teeth. His proposal seemed to have too much potential for something to happen to her.

"If you do not harm me directly or indirectly then I will not harm you," said Morland softly. "But if you harm me I will bring Heaven and all of its Holy Angels down on your pretty little head." His eyes narrowed, "So I will ask you again: If I tell you my true identity and continue to aid you in your search for the truth that you will not harm me?"

Kate blinked once at the reference to her head, then nodded agreement, adding, "yes" on for good measure. He might have said he wouldn't hurt her- but she'd be on her guard anyway.

Even though she understood what he meant, she couldn't bring herself to totally trust anyone outside of her Tribe. After all, 'wolves have to trust each other. But luckily, if there really was somehting going wrong, she would be able to help without many noticing her comings and goings.

Morland nodded firmly. "Alright agreed," he said shaking hands, a soft frown on his face as the kettle whistled shrilly. Tending to the kettle he brewed a zingy lemon tea, making two cups, not bothering to ask if she wanted any. "I am Lavrik Morland, Vigilante of Nox Manor, Law Bringer of the Second House," he addressed her, using his full-and-proper title. Pushing the mug into her hands he whispered softly his street name, "The Silver Bullet Gunslinger," he drew away and gave a wicked smile, "at your service."

Later that Night

Morland frowned in his sleep, troubled and tormented. I cannot sleep... the werewolves will get me... I cannot sleep... the werewolves will get me... his mind sang over and over tormenting him with dark nightmares that made his back arch and sweat appear on his brow. Death to us all, the Moon, lok at the moon! I cannot sleep... the Vigilanties will get me... I cannot sleep...

Suddenly Morland woke up shivering, as the sweat chilled his flesh, the sheets twisted around him like a deadly vice. "Just a dream," he whispered softly to himself, almost silently. "It was just a dream..." Sitting up he looked out of the window and onto the jewel studded sky with its waning gibouse moon, that threw the deepest of shadows about his room. Laying back down, Morland rolled onto his side and gripped the pearl-handled .45 Colt, its cool metal soothed the heat his tormented dreams had brought, and slowly he began to fall asleep. I cannot let them know of my secert, he silently thought.

Then, a soft noise sounded on the first floor...

(hopeing we'er back at the manor :P )

Shara moved slugishly through the first floor kitchen. Her evening run had turned into double the normal distance, trying to clear her head. Well, this time it didnt work, she was just pooped. Shara trudged over to the sink and turned on the cold water, after finding the right temp. she shoved her head under the water. She jumped with the shock of the cold water, turning it off she flung her hair back.

water ran down her face, she knew her streams of blue rolled down her cheeks, she just felt...well...she didnt care. She gently took out the contacts and put them away, the cubard bumped quite loud in the eerie darkness.

picking up a discarded towel, she made her way into the living room, dabbing her face.

Morland gave a mental snarl and crawled with a killer's grace, out of his bed, crawling on fingertips and toes. He made no noise on the hardwood floor as he crept towards the open doorway of his bedroom, sliding the cold blade of his silver knife into the top band of his black leather pants. Come and get me, he silently challenged before a deep void filled his mind, only focused on killing. Blood, sang the void with its deadly silence, oh so sweet and flowing. Kill...

(alrighty then...i shall try from here 8) )

Shara sat down in a fluffy chair in the living room, and looked around. So this is Morlands 'other' home. She wrapped the towel around her head so as not to drip on the furnature. Morland was sleeping, she was pretty sure. He wont mind if i stay for the night, Shara yawned and curled up in the chair, knife tucked safely in hands reach.

(must work with what there is :P lol)
