Quick note...
As I understand it, this version is not "Remastered" for this release, but is instead is a dirrect release of the highest quality version of the unaltered film that they allready had in the vault.
...which just so happens to be the version I have on my collectable LaserDisk set. (But without the need to flip and change disks).

What's really nice is, this release includes BOTH original and revisionistic versions. You can have your smuggler frozen in carbonite and eat it, too!

I think this DVD set should be available everywhere.
Its hard to believe this DVD will be on moratorium so quickly.
I know one thing. When Dec. 31, 2006 rolls around, not all of the DVDs will end up going back to Fox. I'll be suprised if LucasFilm keeps track of all of the DVDs they put out.
