Couldn't get the clip to play, but I recognize the name "Shirley Phelps Roper" in a heartbeat. All of Fred Phelps's children (minus those he disowned) are all lawyers, and she's the lucky one that has to represent him to the media.

I have to admit, she was a lot more soft-spoken than all the written memos I've read from her lead me to believe. She kind of sounds nervous and insincere, like she feels like her dad might be standing behind her with a knife or something.

Heck, if he was my dad, that's what I'd do: B.S. him until either he died or I could conveniently lose my way on the way to a picket site.

She doesn't have to be screechy to put forth a psycho image, you don' have go further than the eyes and the plastered-on smile. She's got a screw loose. Or 7, or 15, or 23, or 36, or 41...

man! it's that kind of filth that causes a lot of pain in the world. Religious zealots that have their head so far up their asses they don't realize the effect it's having on people.

I couldn't believe that woman! she just sat their justifying her actions about giving families of fallen soldiers more pain and suffering than there has to be! with some half baked bull s*** about god punishing people like that for their view on homosexuality and saying thank go for 9/11 dead soldiers!!

Religious zealots are the real garbage of the world, they are no better than terrorists. They needed to be wiped off the face of the planet!

*nods* Yeah, it's pretty much a known fact (just not a proven fact, as all of his children/lawyers will inform you) that Fred beat the living crap out of them when they were kids, and it wouldn't surprise me if he still does to this day. Yeah, whatever screws his kids used to have, their not just loose, their gone now.

I thought she looked a bit Krazy myself and I noticed the eyes too vrikasatma, they were very creepy..I can't believe they let her talk so long..eh

It's people like her that make the rest of you look bad. I have absolutely nothing against Christians or their religion. I do, however, have nothing but the utmost loathing for people like that. It's the exact same eyes and smile her father has.

I'll bet her combination sons/nephews and daughters/nieces have that same smile too.

EDIT: Just looked at that image again, and it might not be the best quality because I screengrabbed it from the actual interview. . . But does the placement of her mouth and eyes remind you of the way people's faces were distorted by cameras after they'd watched the tape in The Ring?
