Allright all, you may have heard of a program called teamspeak, its a free download, you can download it free at www.goteamspeak.com. I have created a server (It's a gaming server) but i have made a room where people with microphones can log on and chat with other members of the pack. It can hold up to 40 members, and you're welcome to come on jsut make sure to mind your manners and treat people with respect. If you have any trouble figuring out the program just PM me. Once you have the program installed, my server IP address is teamspeak2.voiceservers.net:6200. I hope to see you!

Or maybe not. :(

We had a MUCK going. But no one was in there everytime I logged on.

I could try teamspeak, but I don't have a microphone. :(

Thats easy for you to say.

I'm preparing for a road trip up to Dallas for A-kon. Once I'm there, I'll be spending more money. Its hard to buy a cheap mic when you're spending the money on other stuff.

*shuffles through computer junk* hmmmm, I got a mic somewhere around here.... or maybe it's at home. I dont use it anymore so if you want it, it would be one less thing to clutter up my room and I could just bring it to a-kon. As far as me being in there, if I am on the computer, I am usualy in a Vent or TS chanel, so this would just add another hang out spot for me. :D

Teamspeak is sometimes a very useful program. We used to use it in various guild- and faction- wars in Ultima Online, and it gave us an edge over players who sat there trying to communicate via text while we would obliterate, disintegrate and generally cause harm and mayhem.

For just talking to each other you can use Skype as well.

guys, so far it has only been Abrownrigg and myself on ts, and while it is the coolest thing to be able to talk to him, i think we've been looking for more people to talk to, it's always more fun to actually talk.

Let me ask you this. What if the room had 40 members. Will talking be difficult if everyone said something at the same time? Will people have to take turns talking? I know it'll be difficult to listen to someone if everyone is talking at the same time.

I think my neighbor has a microphone I could borrow. I'll ask him the next time I see him.

Also......

I work the nightshift. I may not be able to get on until I get home from work. (2am-4am central) That or I have to wait until my day off to be in there during the early evening hours.

yeah

we would create subrooms, for each seperate topic, there are lots of other ways to deal with it as well,
