SOTA Toys announced on their website that they are going to be producing a whole series of Darkstalkers figures this Fall. What that means for us werewolf fans is that they will probably release a figure of John Talbain !

By SOTA ?
I have one 5 inch figure of him that was released in the U.S. and a couple of the Japanese released minis, but one by SOTA should be the best one produced so far.

Ok, I see it. That'll be my 4th Talbain item when it comes out.
I have the Japanese Talbain resin statue, Japanese Talbain mini, and the TOY BIZ Talbain.

Here is the response I received from SOTA concerning werewolves:
Werewolf from films, eh? Well we DO have the license for AN AMERICAN
WEREWOLF IN LONDON, so I think that'll get you a werewolf, though probably
not this year. Any time sooner? We'll be announcing Now Playing Series 3
in about two weeks. You should keep a look out for that.
As far as Darkstalkers, we have not announced any lineup yet. Again, in
two weeks you'll know what we're planning.

My thoughts as well, I can't figure what he meant. I know he said the DS lineup will be announced then and he couldn't tell me because he doesn't know. We knew about the AWIL license but not one until next year. There must be a werewolf from movie in the Now Playing Series 3 though since he mentioned it, but why didn't he know about the license for this werewolf ?

Oh, he knows. He doesn't want to tell you so you can spread the news. Thats why he is saying to wait for the announcement.

This is great news, I'm definately getting that Jon Talbain one as soon as it comes out... probably a few, I hope they have variants like the others they make
What Mafia wrote:I already have one, though...two actually.... wonder if they may have redone them.

SOTA Toys never made one, Toy Biz made one a while back which was a decent figure considering how poorly most of Capcom figures we're back then... SOTA Toys has been doing some really nice and good sized Street Fighter figures so hopefully they will this series justice as well... as long as they do a nice Jon Talbain I'll be happy
There has actually been only one Jon Talbain figure that was every released and only in the USA, a couple of capsule toy figures (2 different colored version of each) at least 3 model/resin kits and a few keychains in Japan. I have them all that I know of except one of the keychains, but it will be mine someday

The werewolf that he's referring to is the werewolf from Dog Soldiers. It's an awesome figure! The likeness is dead on.

There's a picture of it in Tomart's action figure digest. The picture in the magazine looks alot better than the one in the link you provided. I can't wait to add it to my collection along with the one from AWIL.

Can you scan the image for us ?

Unfortunately, no.

But you can probably find a copy of the magazine at your local comic book store. The major chains i.e. Walden's, Barnes & Nobles will usually also have it.

Ya see, I told you that photo in the first link didn't do the figure any justice. Awesome ain't it?

Now....if SOTA would just acquire the license for the Howling or the Werewolf tv series.

hmmmm...it needs fur on the body. Not just on the head and feet.

The ones in the filmhad a bit of fur on the body , IO guess they just missed it.
I really thought they had the license for Ginger Snaps, since they mentioned figures on the dvd commentary even.
