Option 4- Neither
I share 90% of the common interests of "Furries", and I deeply empathise with the feelings of "Therians", considering both to be kindred groups to myself, but I choose not to idetify myself as either.
I am an eccentric man who considers himself a member of the animal kingdom, and is struck by both inspiration and envy by and of his fellow creatures of the wild. ...and I have a bit of a Transformation obsession...
...so perhaps a more accurate answer would be;
Option 6- "OTHER"

...well...it does keep the line blurry...but while being one does not neccesitate being the other...niether does it forbid it.
...I know that a great deal of Therians are deeply rooted into the "Furry" subculture as well. This, unfortunately, makes things very frustrating for those Therians who are NOT Furries...as the two are so commonly seen together that it sometimes almost appears that they are two sides of the same coin, when they are not.
...so, I guess then the answer would be YES after all.
It screws things up royally for Therian, Non-Furries...but it is sadly unavoidable, and is a legitimate option/answer.

I cannot Identify myself as either a furry, nor a therian, Since I'm neither into the fandom, nor am I a believer that I have AN animal spirit.
But I am spiritual in a sense that I am no different to an animal, that My conciance is the same as that of a dog or a bird or an insect. with the only difference being the varying physical capabilites.

I explored the possibility of myself being a therian at one time...but I left that idea behind when I realised that I really don't believe that there is any difference between a Human Spirit, and that of a Wolf, or a Bird, or a Fish.
...therfore...I could not have an animal spirit, or have connection to one within myself, because in my own eyes, there is no distinction. My spirit is like water. It is the same as any other water in all the universe, and is distinguished only by it's container.
Take a drop of water from a river, and we call it River Water.
Place that same drop into the sea and it becomes Sea Water.
River...Sea...
Wolf...Human...
Deep down, it is all the same thing...just in a different container.
That is why I can not call myself a "Therian"...but I think I understand where they are comming from.

I rather like the article I dug up on Uncyclopedia. Sadly, this part is a little too true:

Read the rest here. http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/OtakukinThe Otherkin, however, are a vicious, emotionally cannibalistic community who thrive on the pain and doubt of their own members while calling anyone who believes something slightly different from themselves “deranged’ or “moronic’.

Neither,
Or, "other."
I, like many others, have tried exploring the posibilities of therianthropy. And I will admit I also adore a lot of great artists that are considered "furry" or "anthromorph." But I resist to identify myself with either, now.
I'm me. And that's my favorite label of all.

"We are not always what we seem, and hardly ever what we dream."
I voted for therian.
Though depending on your definition of furry, yes, you could describe me as one of those, too. Generally though, 'furry' carries more negative package than 'therian', and I find more solace in the latter term, so theri it is.

Do we really need the solution? Couldn't we just enjoy the problem for now?

Furry here.
Don't forget that it screws things up royally for furry, non-therians as well. I hate when people who are vaguely familiar with both groups but not entirely sure of the differences say something like "Furries are people who believe that they have the souls of animals". No thank you! That would be therians. I have a very human soul, thankyouverymuch.
When people associate therian beliefs with furries, it makes the furry fandom lose even more credibility...which is not something it needs at all.
