Not sure this belongs here, but the book appears to have been based in fact, I'll know more when I get it.

The book is fiction, but apparently a headstone with the that inscription exists, which inspired the story when the author decided to take it literally.

Apparently the Town was at one time in Seminole County...remember, there were a lot of towns that died when the Railroad bypassed them, or the land gave out.
Your best bet on finding the Town, would to be to look in the state archives for the location of the Grave.
Bet'cha it'll be one of those "Lost Graveyards", out in the middle of nowhere, because the town it served has just vanished.
It's a really weird sight, you go walking out in the open in Oklahoma, and you run across the weirdest things; smack dab in the middle of nowhere.

"Murdered by Human Wolves"

See what happens when you call a werewolf a furry?

No but seriously. The link said they think she died during a botched abortion. Well think about it. Abortion is not always looked on in a good light and Im sure it was much worse back in 1917. And wolves were hated and thought to be evil back then too. So it makes sense. Her family looked at it like she was killed by monsters. The "wolves" or monsters were the doctors with bad morals. (at least according to them) But its still interesting!
