Possibly. I've been every year since 1991 except 2002. Still, it'll be harder to coax my wife into driving four hours than one, now that we live in the Dallas area, and I don't see going alone.

Does this have anything to do with Scarborough Fair?

No, though you might see some of the same people. Scarborough Faire is done near Waxahatchie (near Dallas) in late April through early June. In fact, one weekend overlaps with A-Kon. The Texas Renaissance Festival is in Plantersville (closer to Houston), and is more than twice as big.

My uncle Joe lives a jypsy-like life. He only reciently started working to get an apartment and get back to real life. He's the one that tells me all about the stuff that goes on at Ren Fairs and such. He's an exellent flute maker by the way.
I haven't been to Scarborough Faire since I was in Junior High. I think I'm overdue for another visit. Do they still allow real swords, or are there restrictions now?

I don't know; perhaps their web site will say. I haven't looked up their site yet, but I imagine it's something like "scarboroughfaire.com," if that doesn't give you instead a site of Simon and Garfunkle fandom.
