You have a very good point.
There's something, oh, what's the word... unentertaining about watching or reading about a werewolf who can shrug off 5 to 15 minutes of gunfire, a Howitzer blast, a fall off of a 500 foot cliff and a pants full of exploding dynamite as though they were bug bites, only to die in horrid agony and melting into a pile of boiling blood and bubbling bones when pricked with a silver pin.

I dunno. It could be entertaining in that "so bad it's good" kind of way.

Actually, that exact sort of death is the stuff of most of Hollywood's classic cartoons.
Like Wiley E. Coyote. Like most of the bad guys in the "classic era" of cartoons (1938-1948).
The bad guy gets done by a silly little overlooked thing....

Remember the new version of the Mummy? The fellow pushes ONE gizmo and the whole place implodes in a very nicely dramatic manner.
AND the bad guy gets eaten by the bugs ( my personal fave...)
