ok...this trailer is very hard to find since Warner wants it pulled. (Not sure why.)

It's based on a true story; 300 hundred spartans stood up agains the mighty persian army wich was 10's of thousands strong, just to slow their army down while the other city states gathered their armies together at Athens.

Looks incredible. I can't offhand see why they'd want the trailer pulled, unless it was for internal reasons unrelated to the content itself. It looks impressive, and I hope the trailer controversy doesn't mean the movie itself is in jeopardy.

As for the 300 Spartans who sacrificed themselves to delay the Persian army long enough to aid Athens, I didn't know that, but I'm glad I do now. They deserve a better spot in the history books for that. We celebrate far less noble deeds with far bigger statues. Considering that Sparta and Athens once were at odds, that they united and that the Spartans gave their lives defending a former enemy--the movie is long overdue. They should have been legendary.
