TPAM needs to get back into the Pack Death Match.

Seriously, it's getting boring in there. Everybody just runs off without doing anything. You're the only fun opponent.

TPAM does seem to enjoy TPDM quite a bit.

The problem isn't the fact that I'm not interested in it. It's the fact that after a while, it gets boring. You can't really have it in something like this, when both people are excessively brutal, and can kill with one blow, and regeneration just forces it to just keep on going. Could I tell you twenty-six ways to break your back? Sure. But this kind of stuff isn't quite my style. I tend to simply take out my opponents in one blow, and then I'm done with it.
Other than that, we'll see.

TPAM may have a point.

While it is true that I do have a bit a OCD, TPDM has been my channel for a lot of angst as of late. Like I said, I'm a martial artist, and I haven't had a chance practice or spar anyone in a while (roughly six months in this case).
:supermad:
So it's either take it out here or possibly hurt someone or something in real life (and regret it later).

TPAM is in need of some anger management classes, but his point is understood. :D

Maybe instead of brutal death each and every post, just a normal kind of fight. You place a blow here, I place a blow there, make some sort of system out of it? Meh. We'll see.

TPAM has got a deal. 8)

It ain't so much that I'm an angry person, it's just that martial arts was so crucial in my life. It kept my mind and body balanced, healthy, and energized, ready for whatever the next day would throw at me. Being cut off from it was like having my knee caps blown off. My health isn't as good as it was, and I am mentally running on fumes.

But yeah, I can tone it down to a good ol sparrin' match.

TPAM should double-check the TPDM.
Anyway, depending on the style, you should be able to practice at your own home. Even Kendo is possible to work on without an official dojo. If your style has some sort of kata, then practice those. If it doesn't, make some.
Nothing against you, but the martial arts you attempted reminded me more of street fighting than any actual martial art. On that note, I'm curious: What martial arts do/have you practiced?

TPAM needs to watch out for Lena in TPDM.

Yes, I do have some limited practice at home with poomse (Kata). But you should realize that along with not having much time anymore, nothing is as effective as learning and practicing alongside an instructor and other students. Without real opponents to test your skill with, you never know your true potential and you never grow based on experience, making your kata little better than a fancy dance.

As for my martial arts experience: I've spent many years studying both traditional taekwondo and a unique system I call yun mudo, which is more reality-based. I've also had limited studies in goju-ryu karate, shaolin kenpo, and jeet kune do. I know how to use a staff and/or quandou, nunchaku, knife, virtually any blunt object, and people say I ain't too bad at kendo fencing.

Edit: Oh, and I wasn't using any style at first in TPDM. That was just berserkrgang.
