Anthony Brownrigg's Dad spotted in MST3K!
I was watching Episode 0418 (Attack of the The Eye Creatures) and I saw this...

As a huge MST3K fan and (of course) a big supporter of Freeborn, I got a kick out of seeing Mr. Brownrigg's father's name pop up onscreen during Joel & the Bots' riffs.

His father S.F. Brownrigg was a horror director most known for Don't Look in the Basement, a cult classic low budget feature about the ordeal of a new nurse applying for work at a mental hospital, only to find the head physician killed and the patients running amuck. It was released around the time I was born, in 1973. I managed to procure a copy of it by accident before I knew of this connection, as it was bundled with three other horror films, including Werewolf in a Girl's Dormatory. "Basement" was unquestionably the best of the four films, though it didn't have much competition. It's a good film, and it's worth seeing, particularly if you're a student of art or film, as it's a great demonstration of just how much you can do with very little--it's easy to see the same DNA that gave rise to Red Victoria a generation later, though the pacing of "Basement" was a bit more relaxed through the first hour, whereas Anthony's work by comparison tosses you right into motion.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

Dude, that's gotta be a little creepy, watching that movie, laughing at the badness, then reding the credits and realizing "Oh God, I saw my mom naked! Eew!"
