I want to hear some suggestions for some gothic horror type books to read.
I normaly read huge fantasy epics, but i think i have almost read all the goods ones, so i want to have a break and try some gothic horror type novels.
I have read some of the classics like dracular and frankenstine, about 15 years ago i was reading steven king short stories. I have read a few world of darkness books, i really liked those. As for werewolf books i have read The Ultimate Werewolf(a collection of short stories) and Blood of the Wolf.
I am looking to sink my teeth into some good quality stuff so has anyone got some suggestions?

Read any Lovecraft? He's quite good, give him a shot. Also, don't forget Edgar Allan Poe.

Hmmm... Since you mention Stephen King, although I don't know if he counts as "gothic" horror (but I don't exactly know what does...), I say check out Clive Barker, writer of Hellraiser (novella, "The Hellbound Heart") and Candyman (short story, "The Forbidden").

Yep...I think Lovecraft will probably be right up your alley.

Following the Fantasy Genre have you read anything by Robin McKinley or Dennis L. McKiernan?

Those 2 are amongst my favorite fantasy authors.

Have you read any of Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" series?

Granted, they're a lot more noir than Gothic and more thriller than horror, but they're definite good quality stories.

Ever read any Charles de Lint? He wrote a couple of rather dark horror novels back in the '90s called "From a Whisper to a Scream" and "Angel of Darkness". They were (for me) hard to find, but they are a little gothic.
