Wow I went up to my balcony (I have an extremely, extremely good view from there, worth a lot of money, right onto the beach...that's because housing prices skyrocketed in Australia as well) and got free fireworks shows! I got good music playing a few houses down from me, (ACDC and the like), a beautiful summer night which is completely clear skies and stars and beautiful fresh air, and free fireworks shows! Someone released crackers pretty close though. One enormous glowing spot I thought was going to hit a house, but it passed behind it and blinked out.

But wow. I spent a while up there, think I'm going to go back. I wish I had someone to spend it with. Nobody is around unfortunately. I chose to stay home tonight rather than go to parties I was invited to, and I'm rather glad I did. I think I will go back and just sit there for a while.

A beautiful new year. Hope you all enjoy it. (It turned 2007 here already half an hour ago).

Wow I went up again and saw some shooting stars! Good omen for the coming year!
