OK, just list and/or talk about the books you love; werewolf or not
Some that I really enjoy are...
Watership Down
The Plauge Dogs
Fire Bringer
The Sight
Bitten
Harry Potter(all)
Silverwing (and its sequels)
Wolf Moon
Stolen
Miss Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
Tailchaser's Song
The Wolves of Time
Blood and Chocolate
As you can tell, I enjoy animal fiction a lot

Those, as well as...
The Ghatti's Tale trilogy by Gayle Greeno
The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman
and for completely different reasons:
People of the Lie by M. Scott Peck

Recently I've become a huge fan Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. Amazing stuff. Its all I've read for the past 4 months actually.
The Heralds of Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey
Anonymous Rex and Casual Rex by Eric Garcia
The Darklord of Derkholm and Year of the Griffin by Diana Wynne Jones
I too enjoyed Fire Bringer and The Sight.
The Amulet of Samarkand and The Golem's Eye, the first 2 books of The Bartimaeus Trilogy.
Harry Potter goes without saying except to the people who do not believe it goes without saying.

The "Myth Adventures" series of books by Robert Asprin. Man, I'm still laughing!
The "Hitchhiker's" series from Douglas Adams. Coming soon to a theater near you.
Every "Pern" novel by Anne McCaffery. She is an amazing storyteller. If you have only read her Pern books, then you are missing out on some of her best stories.
Short list of other (fan) favorites:
"Cycle of the Werewolf" by Steven King
"The Howling" by Gary Brandner
Plus, I agree with a great many of the books mentioned so far.

I've read
Dragonsdawn and honestly...I thought it was overrated. Not horrible, but overrated nonetheless.

I bought a PERN compilation novel of three books because the series was
highly reccomended to me, but after reading all three, I really wasn't impressed either. I have no desire to read any more from that series.

Kushiel's Legacy trilogy by Jacqueline Carey
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by a woman that's richer than the Queen of England
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Acorna the Unicorn Girl by Anne McCafferey - it's not as hokey as it sounds. The first novel is wonderful, but all the sequels are crappy. I actually fell asleep while I was reading the second book.
The Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson
