I am reluctant to be excited. M. night has only made ONE good movie in his career. the rest were duds.

I don't think they'll to do a good job on this. I hope they do, Avatar is a really good show, but I'm honestly expecting this to tank.

Love Avatar!:D

Every once and in a while Nick craps out a jem Like Invader Zim, and Avatar being on of those jems. Definitely refreshing from their other overly Juvenile shows like Spongebob Squarepants.

I would like to see how M. Night does this. :) (Although he's been having a crappy film streak lately)

Big time Shyamalan fan and a big time Avatar: The Last Airbender fan, but. . . I dunno, don't you think this needs to be put on hold until the animated series has been completed? It'd be a lot like the Pokemon/Digimon/Yugioh movies in that he wouldn't be able to do anything that would disrupt the plot midway through it, which more often than not results in total failure. :P This could be a good thing just as well as it could be the downfall of two of my favorite things.

Not a fan of the show, but I'll contribute to the thread, anyway.

Well, it's a live-action adaptation rather than a movie continuation, right? He should be able to do whatever he wants. Unless of course Nickelodeon bumps in, which they seem like the type that would. These are the same people that killed off Invader Zim - the best thing to ever hit their overall lousy network - after all.
