Whether you know it or not the wolf icons and the whole duckie thing really make the PACK boards stand out. ( More so than any other message board or website I know of ) We need to keep it up.

heh...thats the main reason why learned how to edit the wolf emoticons and started this duckie tossing trend.
Goldenwolf introduced the wolf emoticons to this forum back in Dec 2004.
It can be found in this thread.

I opened one up in Photoshop Elements 2 and figured out how to "edit" them. I wanted to see more than then just a "basic set." Since then....I edited way over 100 of them. Including the duckie. I went on to make my very own dragon emoticon. Other Pack members got interested in "editing" the wolf emoticon as well.
As for the duckie itself......we would've been called "Duckies" instead of "The Pack." Xodiac, who happens to be a Pack member, thought it would be funny if we was called that. I after seeing that idea. I wanted "duckies" to stay in this forum. Terastas, another Pack member, said duckies could be used as a "safehouse marker." Its a good idea.....but there is no fun in a forum with that. Sooooooo....I decided to start a duckie tossing trend. Even edited some wolf emoticons getting hit by duckies. I also created my very own werewolf character for the 1st time. A duckie tossing werewolf.
Its good that this forum stands out from the rest of them. Thanks to duckies and wolf emoticons.

Oh no, Mister Wizard!

Fig, you realize you may have started something here. Werewolves may be linked with rubber (plastic, actually) duckies from now on. It is in the story my agent is shopping around: The female lead actually throws a plastic duckie at her human (but soon to be Were') mate-to-be.
It's just silly enough to stick!

Is that even a contest?

Fig is THE ducky-tossing werewolf.
We don't have anyone who's eaten a lot of duckies, though....*gets right on it*

I'm going to eat this whole pile! Plus more!

I have the cutest tissue box with duckies.
Pity I ripped it up to make mini houses for my mice. Poor duckies. So fuzzy and small.
And yet so dangerous.

I've been spreading the wolficons (and the dragonicons) around the other fora I'm on. They were an instant hit on the E-Playa and I've been getting a lot of positive feedback for using them on my Myspace communications. I make it a point to send people in the direction of the zip-file and telling them how to use them themselves, using Photobucket-type sites and code.
The so-called "Best Smiley Pack Ever!!!" banner ads on Myspace don't hold a candle to the mighty Wolficons. I always laugh and say, "I got better ones!"
The only place I don't use them is in my personal e-mail because I have it set to Text Only, for simplicity's sake.

And of course, that's part of the reason why I had posted this:

Anyway...getting back to topic:
The duckie, like the werewolf, is a symbol of the pack. A nonsensical, silly symbol, but a symbol nonetheless. It has the ability to be joking, and serious, when the time is appropriate. It, as an emoticon, has allowed us to express our creativity, some more than others, and is a constant source of humor and smiles. I am glad that Goldenwolf was able and willing to provide the original set. However, as we all know, it has since grown far beyond that, and here's hoping that it will grow even farther in coming years.
To the pack, its duckies, and the tossing to last a lifetime.

Yeah out of all the emticons I've ever seen the wolf and duckie ones are my absolute favorite.
