From Marvel, Blade. In all fairness, he was the one that defined the modern vampire image that Hollywood has been trying to clone for the past ten-odd years. I just pretend the 2nd and 3rd movies were never made and I'm a happy man.
And as for DC, well. . . *sigh* Well, classic Batman was pretty cool, but I'm not a big fan of any of them after. The great majority of them are campy and stereotypical, and the whole Justice League kinda' turned it into a DBZ fiasco where all the heroes and villains do is make alliances and/or increase their powers.
So more realistically, I'm going to go with Krypto the Superdog too. His show may have been just as campy and overused as the rest, but that was the fun of it.

DC: Hmmm... I'm gonna go the Question. I'm not a comics fan, but I'm REALLY not a DC fan. However, this guy stuck out as being a creatively made character when my comic-loving friend had me watch Justice League Unlimited.

I forgot about him. He was one of those few DC characters that was not completely black or white. That was my major beef with DC -- all of the heroes were all about truth and justice, and all of the villains were all about greed, world domination, total destruction, etc. Of all the major superheroes, the only exception to the rule is Batman, but there were others more gray around the edges like Dr. Fate that never quite took off in the mainstream and are therefore easier to forget.nachoboy wrote:ooh! and dr. fate! he rocks!

Superman
Batman
Spiderman
...the Tried and True Figurehead characters.
Most of the other characters are just jumbled together in my mind as "the rest". I don't recall having a particular fondness for a 2nd or 3rd tier character that may be lesser known, but more unique...except, maybe, for a recent fascination with the bottom-rung heroine "Squirrel Girl"...just for being so bizarre and cute as a button with that giant fluffy tail and an army of little squirrels at her command.

LOL. I love that concept for three reasons. One, it's believable that not every mutant would have "uber" powers, and two, it's more enjoyable seeing heroes work with what little they have as opposed to just effortlessly kicking a** (Superman) or instantly coming up with a gadget for every possible scenario (Batman), and finally, you can't help but laugh seeing someone like that in action. I can just picture the villains.Vuldari wrote:except, maybe, for a recent fascination with the bottom-rung heroine "Squirrel Girl"...just for being so bizarre and cute as a button with that giant fluffy tail and an army of little squirrels at her command.
Villain: "Squirrels? Your power is to command squirrels?! MWA-HA-HA-HA!!! Surrender now and I will. . . What the. .?!"

Dr. Doom's notorious defeat by an army of squirrels summoned by Squirrel Girl. Doom's voice balloons read:
"Confound these wretched rodents! For every one I fling away, a dozen more vex me!"
