This is the worst flaming piece of trash I have ever watched. No offense to those who liked it. Poor girl...she made me smile and then she made me weep
*beep* Disney! ...er...lets keep that statement between us, they are getting my demo reel after all, er *whistle whistle and walk away*

(out of place) P.S. speaking of Disney. Matt you're in the animation biz...is it true that if you are a furry Disney won't hire you, or if they find out you're one then they will fire you? I've heard that numerous times...anyone else heard that?

Yes, and no Neko. Some furry lunatics insist on putting really vile pornography in their portfolios ( dont confuse porn with tasteful, well drawn adult art ) But you shouldn't even put THAT in a portfolio. PROFESSIONALS don't do that.
The point is, if you're going to put ANYTHING animal-related in a portfolio, an animation studio would much rather see life drawings from say, the zoo, than a humanoid animal drawing. And YES, some people ARE turned off by just a single anthropomorphic drawing, even if it's clean and well drawn, because there is SO much furry porn out there ( compared to CLEAN furry art.
Another thing i should point out, most furry artists can ONLY draw furry art, and they're not very good at drawing much of anything ELSE. Most professional animation artists don't respect furry art, and I don't blame them. Most furry art is alike. It's either some stupid wolf with wings playing a flute, or two animal-people doing the horizontal rhumba. Or it's some piss-poorly draw web comic that thinks it's funny, or some rambling, plotless mess.
I think the ONLY way you'd get away with furry art in the folio, is if you were SO good, that no one dared question what you drew. I have a friend who put R-rated drawings of classic cartoons up on the wall of his cubicle at disney. Thing is, he was so good, and so fast, that none of the disney brass had the balls to fire him. They did, eventually, but that was when they let the ENTIRE studio go to focus on computer animation. NOW, THEY'RE STARTING TO LAY OFF THEIR COMPUTER GUYS TOO.
So...these days...feh. who knows. you could be laid off for being too qualified. Most high paying animation jobs are going overseas as well. Half the big studios have set up shops in china or india and laid off their workers here.

I would love to go overseas though, my goal eventually is to build up enough experience to get on at Weta. Well let me ask you this then...Would you mind taking a look at my finished Fox girl sculpture and giving me your opinion on wether or not I should share that with future potential job oppurtunities as well as the turn around sheet for the character?
Also...hmm I had planned on focusing my demo reel mostly on the the transformation from man, to werewolf, to wolf. As long as I'm not "anatomically correct" with the detail (i.e. sheath and uh, anatomical stuff) then do you think that would fly?
I'm actually starting to curve from the "furry" label. Usually I would defend the word to the death but...I'm just getting tired of arguing about it and all the negative conotations that come with it. I'm still always going to care about the anthropomorphic characters. I like the animal characters, that can never change, but I don't think I will refer to myself as a furry any longer. It's getting ridiculous nowadays. In any case, thanks for the info man I appreciate you helping me out with this before I make some stupid mistake that could harm my career for the rest of my life. I'm hoping having just werewolf will fly with the employers though as long as it's not obvious he could possibly a sex symbol of some sort.
Still...the whole scenario depresses me a great deal. I can't quite be myself without worrying about it screwing up my future. That kind of hurts.
Anywayz enough about that I guess
I think if Terabithia had actually had some kind of adventure, perhaps if they had fought with the dark master or whatever, and freed the slaves then I would have enjoyed it. I also though the girl might have just been kidnapped and he was going to save her or get revenge for her, but fighting the dark lord. It was just too sporadic from one part to another. Every time something exciting starts to happen, it ends as soon as it starts and then they go home. Come back the next day, something exciting starts to happen, go home, come back the next day, something exciting starts to happen, go home, repeat. It was awfully frustrating. Anywayz, I thought that would be a better explanation for my distaste in the film rather than "This is the worst flaming piece of trash I have ever watched". Which again I apologize for that was awfully rude of me.
