Yeah, I've noticed that too when I went there a few days ago. People are so disgusting and they obviously have no life

; since they have the time to flood the gallery with porn.

Yes...the bots has put thier junk in the comments under each pic.
I have no control of that section. AB needs to do something about it.

I enjoy adult art. Hey. I'm an adult. Sexy is cool.
But some (OK, all ) of this pornographby is repulsive and must be stopped no matter what. you look on ANY forum that has sorta lost momentum, either people arent posting as much or whatever...and WHAMMO! sAID SITE GETS INNUNDATED with filth and smut and vile videos of ugly people doing all kinds of icky things. *shudder*
Porn ain't sexy. SEXY, is sexy.

Well let's stop whinin' 'bout it and start doin somethin'!
I say we either get mods fer the gallery, or do somethin' drastic like...say...
Declare Crusade/Jihad against the infidels! God Wills It!
(the gallery mod idea would probably work better, but the crusade thing might be fun...)

Not many Pack members leave comments there. I say turn off that feature.

whats the point in it being there anyways....it seems that if any artwork is to be posted by pack members its going to be done here with in the security of pack membership walls.... and now that outsiders can view the entire forums again without registering then again.. whats the point...just make another art forum within the pack walls (if needed) and no more spam bots will post there either... right??

I've been forced to disable comments on my art section. Even so, I cannot delete the previous spam comments.

Well, if it's any consolation, my team of admins and I had to make our wiki and forum memberships inviation-only and totally nuke our Postnuke part of the site (spambots were commenting on everything from news stories to music reviews and photos. The internet sure has changed. It's turned more into an advertising medium than anything else - and for those of us who keep a corner of it for ourselves, it's harder to be heard, and harder to keep the bots out of our areas.
I wonder if anyone has ever compared pornbots to STDs... I'd say Crabs might be most appropriate.
The above statement may or may not be appropriate though... hehe.

I propose we nuke the entire gallery and start from scratch, and make it admin approved members only. It sucks I know, but there are too many comments for any one admin to sift through. The easiest solution would be to delete all of just the comments, and lock commenting in the gallery entirely. At least that would be good until another solution can be found. Anyone have better ideas?

Your second thought - of clearing the comments, then locking out the ability to comment is seconded.

It's still a shame that all of those legit comments would be lost.

I don't think porn is disgusting, but its annoying when it becomes spam nonetheless.

I find it highly irritating that porn would be spam advertised in a website that is made for all ages. They post crap without considering who is going to be reading it. I'm highly tempted to follow up some of those links, get in contact with the "porn companies" and ask them who their online ad agency is. I have the distinct feeling that the gallery was hit entirely by the same source. If I do attempt a personal investigation, I'll pose as a prospective buyer of the spam-ad services. I am curious just how deep this rabbit hole goes.
