Guardians of Luna is an upcoming cartoon series based on werewolves and shapeshifters... not to mention good werewolves too ^..^

Being developed by some impressive talent such as Michael Reaves, Osamu Tsuruyama and Sho Murase this is a first a cartoon series really focused on werewolves and good ones at that, I'm very excited about this upcoming series it sounds very promising from what I've read so far ^..^

With Wolf's Rain being a hit and werewolves seeming to get more spotlight things for the wolf fans are finally looking a bit better for us, not to mention the film being worked on here as well we have some good things to look foward to ^..^

Neat poster. :)

Anyhow, I have heard about this cartoon before, and thought it sounded kinda neat. Though the plot of a pack of werewolves protecting thier forest from a corprate giant felt sorta overly PCish and idealistic to me.

Still, I plan on tooning into the show and giving it a good chance.

I heard of The Guardians of Luna before. It looks great! Do you know when it will come out and what station? :)
(Myth House sounds promising as well)

I look forward to it, it will personify werewolves as people in the same way as Gargoyles did to the lead characters.... Be interested to see how they look transformed, or how they transform... :howl: :oo

Okay, I know the whole born not bitten debate could take off here, but I've always liked the born point of view.

I WILL say that as a back-in-the-day LARPer, I've played in that 'protect nature from the WORM - oh, sorry, mogul - plot line more than once.

But it's a good plotline, and it was fun. The art looks cool. And they are focusing on the wws as personalities, not monsters in gorrilia suits with muzzles. I'm going to keep an eye out for it.

Well.. I belive I can help you out there. On cybergraphix animation's website there is an animated werewolf transformation there.

http://www.cybergraphix-anim.com/

1.) Enter the website and a new window should pop up.
2.) At the bottom left of the next window select "4.Projects". The image of the cereal box should turn over onto the back.
3.) On the top left hand corner of the box you should see Guardians of Luna, move your mouse over the character you see below the title.

Also I have also found high res screenshots of the animated series.

I am trying to see if I can get some more information about the series and as soon as I do, I'll let you all know.

What Mafia wrote:fangface?

FangFace was a Saturday morning cartoon shown during the late 1970s.

Its obviously a Scooby Doo, Jabberjaw mystery solving ripoff.

God fangface sucked. He was an embarassment to werewolves everywhere. Probably the WUSSIEST werewolf ever made. If he was in the pack, the omegas would be putting him in his place.

Anyways, here is a picture of this ... runt. Try not to laugh too hard.

I think the last thing I heard was a 2006 release date, though I hope the source was wrong. I would love for it to be out summer or fall this year, with all the werewolf material coming out this year they would be crazy6 not to take advantage of it.

Hmm, looks interesting.

Now, i'll either laugh at it if it sucks, or cheer if its actually good.

I don't think we'll need to worry too much about the plot being overly simplified. Gargoyles was a simple concept at first too, then every freakin' episode needed to start with a recap of events.

I agree, it already seems like it's getting more complicated with the addition of the were-dragons and more plot details.

Been awhile since we had any news on this series, so I decided to email the main source and here is the response I received :

Thank you very much for your interest in Guardians of Luna. While I cannot speak much about the production itself, I can at least assure you that things are moving forward with the show. In the coming weeks, look out for some exciting new developments to be announced. If you read news.toonzone.net, you will definitely be the first to know.

Thanks again for supporting the show, and all of us working on Guardians of Luna hope that you will enjoy the results of our efforts.

Best Regards,

Avi Melman
CEO, Cybergraphix Animation

I'll be checking toonzone.net but if anyone is there on a more reg. basis feel free to let us know anything that comes up.

Yup..we wait and wait and then they all come out at the same time!!

I have the feeling that Freeborn and another werewolf movie may be released a few weeks from each other. Well, maybe a month or 2. Who knows.

Hmm, looks cool. Whats the channel called who baught this cartoon?

No channel has been announced yet. I would say a channel like WB will get it first then CN will pick it up later, or CN may buy it right off . One way or another CN will have it.
