Just my ideas in my own thread.
1) Less drool.
2) Werewolf should be concious of its actions, take some tips from books such as Alice Borchardt, Ann Rice's older sister, on how a werewolf should think
3) Let it be in control of the transformation just make it stronger during a fullmoon.
4) Ok the half man, half wolf thing is cool however I would like to see them actually become what looks more like a real wolf only about 3 times bigger than a wolf. Intelligence is also a key. Like I said, concious.
5) Tails. Give them tails for gods sake! I don't know how many times I've seen a werewolf movie and bitched about them not having tails. If anything else at least give them a tail!! I don't want to see hairy humans with naked butts and long snouts.
6) Packs. I'm exited about "Bitten" becoming a movie and involving a society with intelligent packs, as well as "Blood and Chocolate" and thank you "Underworld" for giving us packs. Wolves function in packs, and are less likely to survive in solitude. Sure humans are easy prey for a lone werewolf but wolves are social animals and they need a society.
These are my basic steps towards a better werewolf. I'm tired of mindless killing machines. Sick and tired. That's all we see in a werewolf movie. They turn into a wolf, kill everyone for no reason, and then wake up the next day not remembering a damn thing. Cheers to "Wolfen" for using some of my ideals. That's more how a werewolf movie should be made. Also kudos to "In the Company of Wolves"...a little weird but I liked it ^_^
Take care all!

1st of all, welcome to "The Pack."
Now down to business. If you look through this forum, most of what you listed is already in discussion and agreed upon. Yes, we are sick and tired of mindless killing machines ourselves.
The werewolves in this film WILL have tails. See for yourself.

There is no need for a poll.
Excessive drooling is discussed here.
http://calypso-blue.com/werewolf/viewtopic.php?t=451
It WILL have control of its shifting. It'll have 3 forms. Wolf, human, and the half man/wolf. (Gestalt) I'm not sure about the size of the wolf form. But it will be a wolf on its very 1st shift. It has to learn to control the shift in order to become Gestalt. The werewolf should be a tad bit stronger during the full moon. Also those with less control of the shift WILL be a werewolf during the full moon.
There WILL be more than one werewolf in this film. Yes, there will be packs.
The werewolves WILL be in control of its actions. And its not a good idea to take tips from some of the books. Who knows what the authors of those books will do when they see it in this film.
The script is done and we are satisfied with the results. Everything you listed is taken under consideration.

I find it very interesting that 89% of everyone who come to this site seem to introduce themselves with the same set of hopes and expectations. Even before conversing with other Werewolf fans, we all seem to come to, (mostly...), the same set of conclusions about what a Werewolf [Film] should be.
It is as if it is all so
painfully obvious than everyone and their Grandma knows how it should be done. ...everyone but "Hollywood" film makers, that is.
...again, Welcome to THE PACK "nekocj".

I see a valuable lesson in lurking (just a bit) before joining any discussion forum. The Pack is quite knowledgable in all things werewolfish. All that is needed is taking the time to dig (or introducing yourself with a question, or going to the Introductions topic and check in), and before you know it, you're running with The Pack!

Welcome nekocj!

Aye, I can second that. I was lurking for quite a while to catch up on everything before I joined.
Welcome to the pack nekocj!

Well, that poll was a no-brainer. Ralph Nader got more votes than "No tail."

Everyone is so friendly and I feel so welcomes here!!! ^^; I'm sorry sorry for just popping in unannounced but I really don't have time for forums and I'm soooooooooooooooooooo passionate about the way I think a werewolf should be like (if that is the word) that I was overcome with joy to find this site and found out what you all were doing with this movie and I'm so happy that everyone is in the same state of mind about it!
Everything I mentioned has been my idea of a perfect werewolf for a long long time and I wanted to shoot myself everytime a new werewolf movie came out and didn't have any of the ideas we all obviously share. I also know the poll wasn't necessary but come on it was 3 in the morning (kinda like now) and I wanted to get to bed and just wanted to make it clear...TAILS!!! I'm sure all this has been discussed the threads all look very long but like I said I soooooooo don't have much time to visit and participate in forums and I just joined last night so...I wanted to make my feelings known ^_^
Thanks for understanding though and I am looking more forward to this movie that I have in a werewolf movie in a looooooong time and extra kudo points for the 3 forms!!! That has definitely been an ideal of mine as well. I was actually in the process of writing a script myself for a movie, see I'm breaking into the film business (mostly concentrating on computer generated effects and creature effects) so it was my plan to eventually make a movie that has these ideals.
Eh I disagree about the book thing. See so many of them I read share the same ideas that were expressed in my post that no one can say for sure which ideas are theirs and therefor cannot claim them. They can try but its also the imagination of the creative team and after what has been discussed here I think we'd all be safe
Once again thank you for the warm welcome, and I just love the emoticons here. I will try to be a little active in this forum and go back to the older threads and try to catch up. Hopefully, everyone will remain friendly. I've had many many bad experiences in forums so...and I will try to get some banners or avitars or whatever you wanna call them together
Take it easy pack
PS apologies for the long post.

If thats the case, then why did White-Wolf try to sue the makers of Underworld?
Its very easy for 2 people to come up with identical ideas for the werewolf.
Here is a prime example. Look at my post here.

Again, welcome to

Same idea? (Nya ha ha ha) *sleepy nuku nuku laugh* Indeed then that is meant that it should be, or should come to pass in that way does it not? If everyone basically shares the same ideas then those ideas were meant to be and there is no other way for it to be done ^_^
