Last Comic Standing 5 (wish me luck)

I'm trying out for Last Comic Standing again. I'm not convinced anyone ever saw my DVD submission last year, so this time I'm auditioning in person.
The lines for the open calls tend to start forming the night before, so I'm leaving for New York tonight. After I take the train into Boston, I'm catching a Fung Wah bus into New York, and for those of you who don't know, taking a Fung Wah bus is kind of like flying Southwest; those tickets are cheap for a reason.
The bus I'm planning to take will get into New York as early as midnight. The club the auditions are being held at is 2.5 miles away, but I've heard twice as many horror stories about taking a cab in New York, so I think I'll be hoofing it.
And the open call is early in the morning, while the callback is late at night. That means that if everything goes as planned, I'm going to be in New York all day tomorrow, so if anybody reading The Pack message boards that lives in the area wants to drop by and say hi, cheer me on and/or steal my wallet, don't worry, I'll be here all day.
The bus I'm taking out of New York (another Dung Wah) will be leaving late at night too. That means that by the time I start posting again on 22nd, I'll have been sleep-deprived for two days. That means depending on whether I get into the Top 40 or not, I'm either going to be pissed off or severely overtired, so admins, I'll ask you to please excuse any unruly behavior two days beforehand.
So anyway, if you have any prayers, blessings or voodoo rituals you'd like to contribute, that'd be swell.

Hopefully on the 22nd, I'll have some good news.

Good luck, man, that's one of the VERY few reality shows worth watching. Hope you at least get into the top ten, that guarantees you'll be on the show and get to show off your stand-up skills at least twice (one on the show, one for Comedy Central Presents, which they've given one of to almost everyone who got that far).

Thanks for all your support, but unfortunately, it didn't work out. The trip to the audition actually went without a hitch, and I must say that the people I saw in New York were a lot nicer than I expected; I only got two odd looks whenever I held the door open for someone.
The problem is the producers wasted so much time filming shots of the line that they barely even kept the line moving. They passed out tickets that meant nothing and were essentially only meant to trick us into keeping the line in order, but they apparently didn't give half a crap what that order was because people that arrived as late as 10:00 a.m. somehow had tickets that placed them ahead of me, someone that arrived and was ticketed eight hours earlier.
I stood in line freezing my tail off for thirteen hours, and the only thing they did in return was have me sign a form waving my legal right to sue them. I was there at two in the morning, but they wasted so much time with overhead shots, retakes of crowd interviews and an hour-long lunch break that I didn't even make it to the door. They must have retook one clip of the host running down the line giving high fives to the comedian ten times. I find that clip especially ironic because I was standing in front of where he began his run; not a single person in that clip was ever given a chance to audition.
The real irony is that this is essentially the same response I got last year. Once again NBC fails to even acknowledge that I even auditioned at all.
The highlight of the trip was running into someone that actually recognized me as Terastas from my Youtube audition. It's refreshing to know my only other meager attempt reached further than I originally expected, so if I'm considering going the way of the Ranting Griffin in the future. After all, if I'm going to perform without pay, it should be for people that actually care to watch listen.
So that's it, I'm through with Last Comic Standing, maybe even the entire NBC network; they took an entire day out of my life just so they wouldn't have to hire extras. It's no surprise they had to find new judges and a new host; the entire production is rotten from top to bottom.

Sorry about that Terastas.

Im sure you would have done great if given a chance. But on the plus side...you had a little adventure.

Nicely done. I only wish I had known more about what you were making fun of beforehand, but that was my fault.

That sucks--it really does. It really makes me want to support an independent movement to upstage the networks.
Thankfully, we've got one. I'll go watch you on YouTube.

Hmmm....I just watched your youtube video. (My mate was laughing at it in the background by the way

So he liked it) and I think maybe your jokes might be too smart for the general audience of Last Comic standing. They wanna hear racist jokes and bodily fluid jokes.
And now Ill recognize you if I ever see you.
