Thats all I can really think of right now.

Watching Some Kind of Monster will make you laugh and cringe.
Anyhow as for great ones, I LOVE nature documentaries, from volcanoes to the Life of Birds.
Just a few: (I dont know the name of a lot) I want to see An Inconveniant Truth, haven't yet.
- Falling Lakes of Croatia
- Life of Birds
- Life of Mammals
- Life of Plants
- Walking with Dinosaurs, Beasts and Cavemen
- Gahhh absolutely ANYTHING on nature!! Whether its living or non living, plant or animal, ecosystem or single species, natural disaster or glaciers.
- Music documentaries...although Dave Mustaines drug addictions are rather scary and the Metallica one was annoying after watching it once. But there are some amazing ones out there.
- Anything on wildlife of countries. Like on the African Savannah or on swamps and stuff like that.
- Love anything on space and astronomy and planets and stars and stuff like that!!
- Some history ones too!
- Etc. Anything interesting.
- David Attenborough (Some listed above)
Some film-like ones:
- Space Odyssey
- Supervolcano
- Pompeii
- Krakatau
I like anything on speculation...apparently there is one about how animals may evolve in the future!

Well, before anything, somebody has to mention:
- Roger & Me
- Bowling For Columbine
- Fahrenheit 911
- Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room
I also liked An Inconvenient Truth and Jesus Camp off of Silverclaw's list. Those are the only ones that come to mind immediately.

I'm not a big documentary watcher, but the History Channel has a lot of cool stuff. They had a few based around The Da Vinci code that were actually a hell of a lot better than the book itself, stuff about Opus Dei and the people who wrote Holy Blood, Holy Grail. There's also a few freaky ones like Hell: The Devil's Domain and the two about the Apocalypse... I have weird tastes in documentaries, don't I?
