Here's a list of the Free Comics that will be there sapposedly an look!! The wolfman one is FREE!! He don't look half bad cept the missing tail which it seems he doesn't have from that angle

Doesn't look like anything would interest me (I didn't see any Punisher), but I have sent the site to my geek friend.

Actaully SilverClaw this is a worldwide event!! There's a part where you can find out where this is happening. Hmm..It asks for your zip code an such, just type it in an you can find out

lol I already got the spider man comic today even though it is 2 days early. They gave it out when I went to see Spiderman 3 tonight.

Unfortunately it's not quite world wide... it's America only. I'm leaning on my local shop to try and get one of the "Astounding Wolfman" books in (because I want to get that series anyway... I've read some of Kirkman's comics; he's a good writer) but if they do manage to get one in, it will probably cost me full comic price (about $9 NZ, which is currently about $6.25 US) just like every other "free" / "10c" / "25c" comic loss-leader has cost when imported here.

Sweet. I'll contact my local comic book store to see if he'll be having that wolfman comic.

dude! i love free comic book day! i've been getting all kinds of free comics for the last like 3 or 4 years! it's great!

usually, though, like no one i know has heard of it! this is great, sabre! i'm totally gonna go to my local comic shop, a coupla my local libraries, and who knows where else. it's gonna be wicked!

wow that is really great...but sadly there is no comicbook-store here....

I called my local comic book store to ask if he participate with the free comic book day and that if he will be having wolfman, and he answered yes. So tommorrow I'll be heading over there and pick up my copy.

Why does Australia not step up and do something like this? I'm sick and tired of being left out!



Im being a childish sulk, I know. But when I decided I could finally afford a graphic novel (They range from $40-70 here if not more!)...well let's just say I have a LOT of money right now that is okay to be used as spending money ($1000) and not spent on anything else, for me to actually make the decision to go and splurge on comics.

YES! I got the wolfman copy at exactly the time the store opened (12pm) and while I was at it I got myself a copy of manbat which was pretty interesting. The wolfman comic also have previews for 2 other comics.

So you were able to get 3 comics? I was able to get 2 free an if I spent 10bucks on anything else I 2 more free ones, so I got 2 more free ones he next shop I hit they said I can take as many as I wanted to have so I grabbed up four of them, but there were no more Wolfman copies at that one I have my sister checkin out the comicbook place by here house right now, so maybe I'll have some more I'm so ebil

A picked up a few free ones today, but didnt see any Wolfman ones I dunno.

Bought issue 3 of Gargoyles while there, which was nice

Aww I should have tooken some more comics! I wanted that Spiderman comic aswell!

I had a feeling I could take more but I was afraid to. Well atleast I got some free movie posters of transformers and Fantastic 4. And several more free stuff.

EDIT: Mabey I should call the owner and ask if he has left overs of free comics, you think they are allowed to give the rest away?

Did you happen to get an extra copy of Spiderman?

Sorry ShadowWulf I deleted my post to answer your question I just called my comic shop an they told me there are lost of extras there, so he told me to be there when they first open an I can have my share an he said there are lots of comics left over including THE WOLFMAN ONE!! So Silverclaw your covered already cause I got extra ones already an I'll see you at a-kon , but I'm going to try to snag some of the other ones No I don't have any extra Spidermans, but if I can get there I will clean up like today

The guy seemed to have no problem with given them away cause they can't sale em anyways, they'll get trashed

Cool, I'll try to call the local comic shop to see if he has any leftovers for me to snag. If he does and I can have them, you wont have to worry about sending me one.
